  Gen 1 turbo kit.
Posted by: WHOOSH - 28-09-13, 07:28 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (1)

Heres my Gen 1 turbo kit for sale its proven to be reliable at low boost so no need to change pistons etc, I have been using it for 6 months but now moving bigger and its easier to make a new kit than modify this one, serious inquires only please £1000.

  Good News...
Posted by: bbb - 28-09-13, 06:50 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (7)

Decided to do a bit on the bike today, balanced the carbs and changed/rad-flushed the coolant. Whilst the tank was off I thought I would have a quick look at the air filter as well. Result! its a K&N looked a bit yellow though so bought a re-charge kit and cleaned and re-oiled it, nice and pink again.

Will have to wait until tomorrow to see if it rides any better but the holed collector box probably doesn't help.

  Today was a good day

Does anyone else find that some days riding are better than others ? With that I mean everything just feels right. The corners just seem to flow nicely, the bike feels planted, you seem to feel more confident in your own ability and the bikes capability.  Just fitted new chain and sprockets, rear brake pads, brand new T30 rear tyre, front forks dropped through the yokes by 50mm and dialled in the Ohlins rear shock for a firmer ride. Put these all together and it feels SWEET.  Smile    Yes, today was a good day.

  Headlight bulbs FZ6s2
Posted by: hawkeye - 28-09-13, 06:19 PM - Forum: FZ6 / FZ6 Fazer - Replies (5)

Been looking at the headlight mod for my 07 S2 FZ6 but whilst Im at it I wanted better headlight bulbs ,been looking around and there seems to be quite a choice available which give different buld output and wattage I assume that its best to stick to the 55 watt as the lenses look as if they are plastic and hence wondering how much heat buildup there is with brighter bulbs and which are more suitable , there seems to be Halogen ,Xenon, some are even marked as Xenon/Halogen ,do these need conversion kits to fit and which type give best all round light for the FZ6 lens ?

  Which mods have you declaired.
Posted by: Mick-H - 28-09-13, 12:14 PM - Forum: General - Replies (14)

When insurance time comes around which mods did you declare? Ivans? exhaust? paintwork? AIS removed? brake/clutch lever's? carbon bit's? window engine cases? etc etc.

Just wondering how people went on declaring these things, did it increase the premium or was insurance refused?

The things we do for our bikes...

The only thing I didn't like about me cb fairing was the fittings..so went through me boxs of bits, found some stainless security machine screws, a few black anodised zx9r fairing washers and couple of old fire blade ones, polished the arse out of them with some wet and dries, sorted some wiring and relays out for me heated gear, and two whole evenings later it's ready for the weekend run to the coast...
