  Water pipe No1.
Posted by: Captain Haddock - 19-10-13, 01:33 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (2)

On a fzs1000 2003 whats it like to change water pipe No1. (the one at the front behind the down pipes)? It looks like it goes through the crankcase to the water pump, are there any o rings that fall out making it a nightmare to get back in?
Mines rotten and needs replacing but don't know if I can be arsed yet, if it's a simple pull it out and replace I'll go for it while I've got the rad off.
Anyone got a good one going cheap?

  Dead Clocks ?
Posted by: fergysteven - 19-10-13, 12:38 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (14)

My clocks aren't displaying anything
no rev counter,
no mileage,
no speedo,
no fuel gauge,
no neutral indication and no oil warning light.
The clocks still light up when lights are turned on and left and right indicator still shows as does High beam.
Ive checked all the fuses under the seat and none have blown, would it be fair to say the clocks are Kaput or could anything else cause this (the bike still runs ok)
If i buy some replacement clocks will it show the mileage of the new clocks or the mileage that the bike has covered.

Any help would be much appreciated

  Invanising and Exhaust
Posted by: Dead Eye - 18-10-13, 05:07 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (35)

Tried doing a few searches and couldn't find anything specific so here goes;

Does removing / inserting the baffle on an aftermarket exhaust make any real difference on an Ivanised bike... I wouldn't have thought it make too much difference if any, but Mr. Exupnut has got be thinking now after a conversation we had...

  carb advice please
Posted by: Muddi Camel - 18-10-13, 04:02 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (2)

I suspect the carbs need unblocking and cleaning.  I haven't run the bike for a while, and now it won't idle.
Is there anything I should look out for?  How long will it take?  Any special tools or parts I should have first?
Thanks

  front fork swap
Posted by: scottyboy2203 - 18-10-13, 02:55 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (4)

Hi foccers,

Looking for some advice on a front fork swap for my 2001 fazer. Going through an insurnace claim atm for a blind t&$t who reversed into me and wondering how easily/cheaply I could repair the damage myself.

Which forks can I put in without too much hassle? Does it have to be another fazer '01?

Whilst we're at it, any advice on where to get new front fairing and mudguards?

Ta!
