Whilst I'm removing the bumper on my car to clean the turbo aircooler I thought I would check the air con clutch system as the air con absent worked on my car for ages even thou it's been recharged, the clutch did the click sound as if engaging so I know that works.
My point is can I bypass the in car on off switch directly to the air con clutch to get it working again?? it's a Renault scenic

Got a bit of an odd starting issue guys, was wondering if I could have some suggestions as to possible causes:
Basically, the bike is proving to be an arse to start in the morning after its sat over night. It churns over fine on the button, and the battery is good (99.9% sure on that - used a trickle charger on it, it didn't charge for long before it said it was topped out, and the battery spins the starter motor over for ages).
It spins over for a while, and then eventually starts - when it does, there is always quite a loud "BANG" from the exhaust.
Once its started, it's fine; it runs completely normally, and I can turn it off and on again and restart it as many times as I want - it's just the initial starting that's a PITA!
Now that's the "always" route, I'm not sure whether this is connected or whether it's coincidence, but the three times it's done this now I've tried to start it for a while, it won't start, I turn the ignition off and on again and then it starts with its exhaust bang.
So, any suggestions as to what I should be looking for?

Hi guys. After my old '98 fzs600 was stolen a couple of years ago i switched to a Triumph Sprint ST 1050, and it was an awesome bike but circumstances have conspired against me (i.e. I had a crash and wrote my bike off) and i'm considering getting another fazer. However, i'm planning on making this one a bit different.
Project fzs is my working title and so far i'm planning the following upgrades as time and money allows;
Gilles rearsets to raise the height of the footpegs
Swap the wheels (and swingarm if neccessary) to allow wider section tyres to be fitted
Upgrade the suspension although i'm thinking rebuild rather than new units
Bigger Carbs/tuning of current carbs to give a bit more poke
Changing the gearing (Probably just the sprockets) to give more acceleration
Just wondering if anybody has done any of these mods themselves so they can advise me on what does or does not work so i can minimise my trial and error time.
I'm not trying to turn the fazer into a sportsbike or anything but i've been on trackdays on my old one and the two big areas that i identified as wanting to improve where the lean angles acheivable and the acceleration driving out of corners so if i could improve these areas and still retain the overall go anywhere do anything character of the bike then that is my aim.
Thanks for your time and i look forward to hearing your suggestions.

| Exhaust question |

Hello hello
I have a question about exhausts.
How big an end can can I stick on my ZX400? Because it's a grey import, and a 1988 model (!) there is next to nothing out there for it. Also, I have a bit of a thing for Akrapovic carbon cans - a proper carbon subbie looks gorgeous.
However. My bike is only a 400cc. My question is, how big a can can I stick on before it gets ridiculous? I suspect a can designed for an R6 would sort of work, but the one designed for the VFR1200 would be over the top. Or doesn't it matter? Help?
BTW, I'm talking about gas flow here rather than physical size!
