I'm interested (personal) in learning my way around the bike properly. Not just changing oil and that, but how the whole thing fits together (butterfly valves etc???).
Anyone know of any decent reading materials etc for learning the generics of how bikes work etc, without having to take my fazer to bits.

We all get them. A jumper that's too big (or too small in my case). A CD you already have. Aftershave designed for someone your sons age. Jeans with vajazzle stitching. You get the idea. Well this year, instead of putting it on eBay/Gumtree or the for sale and wanted section, why not do what I'm doing and put it all in a a box and donate it to a charity of your choosing. I'm sure you could live without the few quid it brings in, it will cost you nothing and someone less fortunate than yourself will benefit from it. You might even get a nice feeling on the inside.
I'm not trying to preach here, its just an idea I had and though I would share it with you Foccers.
Happy new year and all the best for 2014

I had to go to work today so looked outside and the rain had stopped. Bike car bike car BIKE. Flipping awesome, the rain had stopped but the gutters were flowing heavy. Its nearly 20 miles and mostly motorway but it was still fantastic. Feeling the power of an Ivanised 1000 cc engine grunting from 50 to double that in a few seconds is amazing. And at 5am the roads were practically empty. I just hope the run home is as much fun. Happy New year fellow foccers and all the best for 2014
