My 01 thou seems to be a little down on power 70,000kms on the clock.
My weekend ride usually includes a blast along a straight up to about 220kms accelerating from 3rd at 90kph after making sure all is clear ahead coming out of a long sweeper.
I was only reaching just over 200kph this weekend. When I got home I watched my recording and the tacho from opening her up in 3rd gear was casually raising to approx 11,000 rpm when prior recordings the needle flies straight to the red line. I thought it was a tad down on power the weekend before so put new spark plugs went in and no different.
Riding about town I can't notice a power drop its only when really giving her the beans at higher rpms.
btw has a k&n air filter which was cleaned and re-oiled 6 months ago 10,000kms since so I wouldn't think its could be a cause.
Any suggestions thought would be great!

Hi
Thought I would introduce myself
I am I the Manchester area and was wondering if there are any clubs for bikers, especially round the Trafford area
My choice of extinction is a 1998 fzs600 fazer
One question though, is it me or does it feel colder and noisier riding a bike now than when I was 18?
I know this is a long shot as well, I used to be in Stockport and District bike club in the 80's, if there is anyone one out there.
Thanks

Never go to see a band with a musician - oh, the tunes are all a bit slow, the guitarist ought to turn it up a bit, can't hear the keyboard at all, if he only had this amp, or that guitar...how would you know, you never heard anything for whinging all foccin night :rolleyes
They were pretty good actually - brilliant girl singer who put everything into it, the guitarist had a great feel for blues, and a half decent saxophonist to top it off. What I actually got to hear, I thoroughly enjoyed.

Thanks

BST handlebar raising kit 30mm in black £15 collected from Kettering or Huntingdon or £20 delivered
These are precision machined blocks that sit in your bottom handlebar clamp and the bars then sit in these blocks and the standard top clamp fits over the top, kit includes the 4 longer clamping bolts.

Going to buy a new end can when funds allow & these are on my shopping list (in no particular order):
Yoshimura TRC
MIVV Ghibli
Leo Vince GP Pro
Remus Powercone.
Has anyone got one of the above? I'm not after an increase in HP (Honest) just a better looking /souding can than the OE one.
Thanks in advance

Hi folks, got my '09 FZ1 Fazer at the in Nov last year and thought I better join your lovely forum as I'd already joined the other two and found your's while researching the FCE. I had 2 FZ750's back in the day so thought I'd come back to the fold after owning an '04 ZX10 for a couple of years. I also have a Spondon framed RG500 and a Spondon framed FZR1000 Genesis which I'd made to be an FZ1-type bike before they even existed! Anyway, I'm enjoying the forum, there's a wealth of info, and I look forward to many miles on the FZ1,
cheers, Steve

| Running rough under 3000 rpm |

Hi all, I have a 99 fzs600 which i bought with around 27000 miles on. It had been standing and was spluttering a bit below 3000 rpm. Took carbs off to clean and found one of the pilot screws was broken. Could not get it out so fitted a 2nd hand set of carbs.
Runs beautifully above 3000rpm but is rough below. Just wondering if there is a common issue with fazers or is it just a case of needing to clean the "new" bank of carbs. They were supposedly off a recently running bike.
Have also changed plugs and plug caps but no difference. After a ride all exhaust temps sit at around 120 - 160 deg C except for cyl 3 which is at about 80 deg. So i am guessing cyl 3 is not getting fuel or firing below 3000 rpm.
Thanks in advance! Craig
