  FOR SALE: 2004, FZS1000
Posted by: Stupid Luke - 05-02-21, 04:13 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (8)

Having a moment of weakness and considering the sale of my mint Gen 1 Fazer.

This is the Grey / Black parallel import colour scheme supplied new by Tazz Peterborough. It is fully power model with the black painted
engine.

  • 11,000 miles only from new. FSH plus every MOT since new to prove mileage. Must be the lowest mileage bike available.
  • Current MOT until May 21 / Sorn.
  • In addition to servicing the bike has had:
  • 2015 Ivans Jet Kit / foam filter  /Full Monty fitted by the forum member who comes over from Spain, Mike?
  • 2015 Front forks rebuilt at Tagg racing with 9.5 K Tech springs and Ohlins oil
  • 2015 Front and back brake service at Tagg racing, rebuilt calipers and new pads all round
  • 2020 Exup valve service at ANC motorcycles
  • BT091 EVO tyres
  • New Battery 2020
  • Bike can be viewed in Maidstone Kent.
Extras:
  • Renthal 758 bars
  • Oxford Heated Grips
  • R&G Bar ends
  • Adjustable Pazzo levers
  • GPR Titanium End Can
  • Nitron rear shock with remote rear reservoir
All standard parts will be supplied with the bike, excellent Condition, HPI  clear. I am the second owner and have owned the bike since 2014. Only reason for sale is that I am working in London this year and have bought a Tracer 900 GT. Price is a firm £3750 for everything or £3500 without the end can and Nitron rear shock.

  Unable to Select Third?
Posted by: Walkerfromwolves - 04-02-21, 07:27 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (5)

Good Evening all,

Seems like every few weeks I have a problem post!

I noticed a small oil leak coming from inside the front sprocket cover and when I took it off it had all the hallmark signs of the gear selector cover gasket as described by an old post I found on the old tapatalk forum. Ordered a replacement gasket, removed the cover to which the old gasket split in multiple pieces. Found the oil leak I thought! Spent much time gently scraping and cleaning the contact surfaces ready for new gasket, installed new gasket and whipped it all back together. Aces I thought! Job done.... or so I thought.

Popped to local shops this afternoon for some groceries. No issues on the way there. On the way back however I am changing down from 60mph in 6th to 2nd gear to take a tight island and upon exiting the island the bike wont shift up into 3rd. Bugger. Tried to release and re-engage clutch and pre load the lever prior to shifting to no avail. Get the bike home and up onto the main stand, whip off the foot peg, sprocket cover and shift linkage. Nothing looks untoward. So I place the arm which goes on the selector shaft and try to shift the gearbox. 1st, up to 2nd. No 3rd.

So my question gents, seems like I've ballsed it up somehow but what I should I be looking for tomorrow when I get back in the garage? I'll have to order another gasket and get the cover off again but if there's nothing obviously out of place what should I be looking for?

As always, thanks for the help.

  Ognabene chain tool
Posted by: Flooky - 28-01-21, 01:02 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (2)

Hi all
I just ordered a chain and sprocket kit from " bike torque racing ", it came with the ognabene chain tool.
I fitted the kit yesterday and the tool works great, if any body is wondering about it, it works well.
I have used various chain rools before but this is a good and cheap bit of kit.
