  Louis Gel Seat Pad
Posted by: tony_d123 - 07-02-14, 12:17 AM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (2)

Just ordered one of these, hopefully will help with the numb bum on this years tour! Got it direct from the Louis site and even with shipping from Germany only works out at just over £50 when converted to GBP.

Your medical records are about to be sold.
Posted by: Kosmic Kartman - 06-02-14, 09:31 PM - Forum: General - Replies (13)

Please Sign here: http://action.sumofus.org/a/nhs-patient-...ub=fwd&t=1

Your medical records are about to be sold to the highest bidder.

Starting this year, private companies will be able to buy information on us from the NHS’s new universal patient database -- including everything from mental health conditions, sexually transmitted infections and diseases like cancer -- all linked to your postcode, gender and ethnicity.
We’ve all been opted into the scheme by the government without our knowledge. And the clock is ticking -- the government has said they will upload our data in a matter of just a few weeks. If we’re going to stop this, we have to act now.
Tell Jeremy Hunt and the Department of Health not to sell our medical records.
It doesn’t really get more personal than what you discuss with your doctor. They know the most personal things about us -- like whether we’ve ever been depressed, had an embarrassing infection or struggled with drug & alcohol problems.
The government claims that individuals won’t be able to be identified. However, many experts have warned that under the current plans, we could easily be singled out through simple cross-referencing of other databases -- especially if you have a rare or unusual condition. Imagine your employer finding that you might have had an abortion when you were a teenager. Or your insurance company finding out you are HIV positive. The consequences for us as individuals could be huge.
We know that when we act together, we can bring about real change. When we fought to get High Street names like River Island and Edinburgh Woollen Mill to sign up to protect Bangladeshi factory workers, we won! Now we need to step up to defend something precious -- our right to privacy.
Tell Jeremy Hunt to stop the sale of our personalised patient data to big corporations.

  HEL Braided Lines
Posted by: Yamazer-92 - 06-02-14, 08:27 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (15)

Really sorry if this has been covered before. I've never ordered braided lines before so was wondering what the difference was between the OEM kit and the "race" lines. From what I can tell, it is literally the price and most on the internet go for the race kit as it is "easier to bleed and cheaper". Sounds good to me. Also, what do you think would suit a silver bike best plain silver braided with blue banjo bolts or blue lines with stainless bolts?

  Impressed by my Fazer
Posted by: Karlos600 - 06-02-14, 07:40 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (2)

Hey guys,

Just thought I would like to say how impressed I am at my Fazer. She has been sleeping in the shed since early November but I needed to wake her up to pick up some bits for my car. I turned the key, hit the button and with only 10seconds of trying she fired up and was keen to hit the road. Everything feels fine no creaks or squeals. I must admit that I was expecting a bit of a drama but no problems at all.
So as a treat this weekend I will do my best to fit the Scorpion end can I bought last year.

I will be getting the bike booked in for an MOT and service next month ready for great year of 2 wheeled pleasure.  Big Grin

Did I get a good deal?

And, is it new pads? Thinking SBS ceramic, since I already use them on the 600 caliper and up front cant fault them.

Any point in stripping this down and giving a thorough clean, pistons seals out for a look/clean/hopefully not replace?

  Union power
Posted by: slimwilly - 06-02-14, 06:58 PM - Forum: General - Replies (61)

I see them union leaders leading their members into strikes, so that you , the general public will love them more. Smile

It's odd how the employees seem to know how to run the companys.

If they are not careful it will be like the car manufacturers and miners, all go tits up.

There is always the risk the employers will replace the unions with foreign workers who say "thanks for the job"

Hope thet get it sorted, seems to be fucking up London, and all those workers who need to be places.

  Oil Filter
Posted by: Andy Clap - 06-02-14, 06:37 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (8)

I need an oil filter (my Champion one developed a pinhole leak after 6 months!)

I was looking at this, and although the part number appears to be FZS600 (5GH-13440-00) it looks a lot bigger that filters I've used before.

Any thoughts?
