What's the best option, performance/price wise, HEL or Goodridge braided hoses? The front pads need changing on my '99 600, so I thought, whilst that's being done I'd upgrade the hoses at the same time, I'm thinking race style too.

hi second post and another question. returning to bikes after some time I bought a jacket with a protector fitted in the back since then I have also seen bike riders wearing separate harness protectors
Does any one have experience of the effectivness of the one like mine just sat in holder in the jacket and will these stay in place in a accident??

I've been doing a fazer up that I purchased. I have come to remove the tax disc holder someone has put on using the rear chain guard mounting bracket. The bolt is seized it's an Allen head and it's been rounded off, heated it,used a snap on bit in it no good, mole grips, even welded a nut on it and when I turn it the bolt just bends it's ready to snap.
I was just going to let it snap then drill it out and use a nut with a bolt behind. Anyone else done this? Don't want to give it anymore stick and end up snapping the bracket off the swing arm

I've been asked if £650 all in, both tests, bike hire, training as required.
Is this a good price or should I advise shopping round some more. The
Lad knows the school as did CBT there a while back.

Ah, the joys of 'preloved' bikes!
First task, as always was to change the oil and filter and had a wee 5 minutes spare, so set about it...stalled at first hurdle in that I cannot get the sump plug to budge and it looks like the previous ower couldn't either.
Any hints and tips as to how best to proceed? The lower frame rail prevents use of a socket and therefore impact driver, though I am not sure if an impact driver would be advisable.
Does anyone know of it can be done with a shallow socket and one of the waggly extension bar things?
Cheers
Dave
