Bike laid up over winter during which time I forgot to charge it so it did go flat.
Been using it since beginning of month. 13mile journey each way. On one journey I used the heated grips. As I got near work the dials stopped working on idle but came back with revs. Instantly thought battery was flat from using grips.
When I went to return home the bike was flat. Wouldn't start. Had enough power to attempt to turn over but did a couple of turns before making an odd buzzer type sound.
Push started it and it was fine on the way home.
Charged battery and all was good for last fortnight.
Used the bike yesterday no issues.
Tonight it's flat again and doing the same thing. Couple of turns before the odd noise.
Is this common with Fazers and low batteries. When I've previously flattened the battery it's been totally dead.
My concern is that I've an electrical fault draining the battery. I actually hope it's just that the battery is past it's best. Could be the original one fitted. 2001 plate with 11k miles.

A question for the FOC-U fonts of knowledge.
Gen 1 1000 FZS. Pilot Air Screw setting. In both the Good Book of little fibs (Haynes!) and the genuine Yamaha service manual, the pilot air screws are set at 2.0 turns out. Have I seen on here that 3.0 is recommended and if so why?
I've currently got mine set to 3.0 and it seems very rich and will start from cold with no choke.
Answers please, not on a postcard :rollin :rollin

I'm not really a football fan these days, got put off years ago, mainly by the cost. Taking my lads to a game, 10yrs ago would costs £150 easy.
One of the main arguments by UK supporters against this, is it destroys, local identities, history etc.
To me it clearly demonstrates, UK supporters really don't factor any longer and if they never paid another penny in season tickets or gate money it wouldn't matter. Premiership Clubs make more money with world TV rights and sales of shirts/kits memorabilia, than ever they do in the UK.
Like much of sport nowadays, it's not really about the sport it's just about money, making more money!
