Hi guys, I’m recently just after taking out the clutch on my 2003 600 to inspect it and decided to purchase a newfren clutch plate and friction plate set, now iv heard people say use oem springs there much better but would they be suited to the newfren plates? Or would I be better off using newfren springs too? Any help is much appreciated ??

Hi all , a bit of advice is required,  i stripped down the exup valve this afternoon  to give it it's  annual good hiding with the copper grease, one issue i have is with the bush in the valve housing its solid even warm and a gentle tap will not shift it ,i don't want to hit it to hard and damage the housing as the valve is free  when assembled ,can leave it or should the bush be free to spin also, ta

Always found her amusing. A friend of mine was driven round the ring in her van (taxi/minibus) several years ago and was suprised at how fast she could make it go and what she was overtaking in a bog standard "van"

  Price opinions?
Posted by: Dudeofrude - 17-03-21, 11:11 AM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (9)

So I've decided I'm ready to move on from my Fz1n ?. I've had it nearly 5 years now and although it's great in many ways I'm just ready so something that's a lot less showy and with slightly more practicality. Anyway I've been in touch with a few dealers about part ex deal but they are all coming back with ridiculous low ball offers (as expected) so I'm think of selling privately instead I'm just not sure on what it's going to be worth?

I think realistically thinking i would want it to go for £3500? I see some go for much more but also newer ones go for less. My main problem is the amount of sorted extra bits on it but I know that's only important to somebody looking for this particular set up. I'll list everything to do with it here and see what you all think

I think that's about everything ?? and like I say I know the vast majority of that will not count for anything with a dealer?. But what do we think? Am I being realistic at £3.5k ?

FZS 1000 Gen 1 Fuel pump delivery pressure?
Posted by: Gaz66 - 16-03-21, 09:27 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (5)

Hi Peeps.

Anyone know the delivery fuel pressure from the factory "Clickety Clackety" fuel pump in psi?
I'm considering junking the monstrosity for a more modern quiet rotary pump, unsure at this point if it's a good idea or not, based on the new rotary pump supplying constant delivery pressure albeit low psi, it may put undue pressure on the float bowl seal ...
Any thoughts / comments welcome?  :thumbup

  Starter Relay Fuse
Posted by: darrsi - 16-03-21, 04:02 PM - Forum: General - Replies (2)

I just had a new starter relay turn up and it has a 10amp fuse in it, but "most" photos I see online have 30amp fuses on them.
I've not had a chance to look at my old unit yet as I'm a bit busy, but which fuse d'ya think I should use, as my Haynes Manual doesn't actually specify a size?
