I got to say happy birthday to nakedadder, looking damn good for 160!
Looks like I'm not alone in using any random date of birth for websites. :lol

Evening chaps and ladies
I know the in's and out's of different tyre sizes but, has anyone tried a 190/55 rear tyre on a 2005 FZS1000.
I only ask because I've just taken a one off the zx10r I've just bought to put track tyres on.
I have a couple of part worn 180's but would be nice to get some use out of the 190.
Thanks in advance
Mick

Stripping paint from fork lowers |

I'm planning on repainting the fork lowers on my FZ6 as they've been battered and chipped by stones and other road debris over the years.
So I presume I'm going to need some paint stripper, however I'm not sure what to get or if there's anything else I'd need.
Obviously I'll remove the brake calipers and cover anything that I don't want painted and make sure nothing gets on the threads etc, and I've got etch primer and the same paint I used on the rear footpeg hangers, but is there anything else I should consider?
PS I have thought about powder coating, but that involves stripping them down entirely, instead of the quick(er) job I'm thinking about.

Chinese FZ1 fork caps from ebay? |

Hi all, I accidentally scrunched up one of my fork caps, only cosmetically, replacents are kinda pricey, I've seen some cheapos from China on ebay, anyone had any experience with these? I thought as they are only a threaded cap each end they may actually be functional, had a bad experience with Chinese copy brake calipers for another bike
Thanks ?

Hi all, just had a fork seal go so I'm replacing it, I'm just wondering what the general consensus is on which grade to use, I'm assuming the bog standard is 5w just wondering if 7.5 will make a noticeable difference, I'm not sure which grade was in there before but its very clean so probably has been changed recently, had a search on the forum but really tricky finding relevant results ?
Thanks ?
