If you mean, where am I, then I am out of shot to the left by the house (hidden by the truck) trying to explain to the Fire Chief "why he has a fire on his hands" and that they should be damn careful because there is a 1/4 filled fuel tank just inside the garage door...

Yup, the thread title is misleading as Mr Nog forgot about the fire incident that I was referring to.
This was 5 days after I had moved in to the property (18th October 2012)...
Sorry kitcrazy, not laughing at the question, more the answer....
Take an orbital sander, attach it to the bottom (outside) of a big plastic box so it agitates the box and contents. Fill box with coke, and some parts you want to clean. Pretend it's like a parts washer, and leave to brew...

Did I get that about right, Mr Deadeye? :rollin
Yeah... that's pretty much spot on... it sounds more stupid when you read it out loud...
I blame the use of Dr. Pop instead of Coca-Cola... this was surely the main reason for the failure! Me and my friends regret not using Dr. Pepper... can you imagine sending this in under their "what's the worst that could happen" slogan? :rollin :rollin :rollin

I have absolutely no idea... no investigation was undertaken (probably a good thing)
It may well not have been my fault at all... but that scenario is rather unlikely, all things considered
I would hazard a guess, the sander overheated and torched itself (dunno if these things will have a thermal cutout, but if not, they're designed to be used in air and being moved through that air, so they'll get some cooling from that?). Then the box would have melted, dropping the liquid all over the burning electrics...
