one of the members has tried this but you would have to replace the whole lower cradle . u also have to think about where will the drive sprocket be in relation to the swing arm /rear sprocket to low you will get chain issues .the one advantage would be a big weight loss as the 1000 cradle is heaver if y got the time money have a go but as been said would be easier to change forks wheels swinger etc for better ones also look at replacing the rear subframe { as it is steel for an ally one } doing these mods can give you a BIG weight loss see my 6 as this is what ive done and its 180kg wet

Go for it, I put a 1052 gsxr engine in a 600 bandit with gsxr k4 swingarm, forks and running gear. Fairly straight forward. End result is light and fast. Insurance with adrian flux is £500 all mods declared.
