  brackets for belly pan
Posted by: hugob35 - 09-10-16, 08:43 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (2)

hi guys,

i recently picked up a belly pan for my fazer 1000 gen 1, i got it cheap 2nd hand and i think i might need a few bits. they one i got is identical to this one listed on ebay.
http://www.ebay.ie/itm/New-Unfitted-Blac...xyzqdTc8SS

i think i need the 2 brackets that secure the belly pan toward the front left and right where the two bolts are on the frame(where sliders would be attached)

anyone with even a picture of what these brackets look like woud be a great help - at least i might be able to botch something if i knew what they look like

also where can i find my paint number - 2001 blue/purplish - and once i have the paint number where can i get paint.

cheers

  Engine Water Seal issues.
Posted by: anutz - 09-10-16, 08:05 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (2)

Anyone ever replaced the o-rings that seal the Water hoses going into the engine head, the metal bits you bolt in...

I need to change mine, they are item 40 here : https://www.fowlersparts.co.uk/parts/418...water-pump

BUT i got them and they are much thinner, and smaller than the stock ones the part replaces, so much so they do not sit in the recess that is in the head...

They are orange as opposed to black, if anyone knows how to get them fitted it would be appreciated, else i am stumped...

I had my bike alll together today and turned over fine then boom, the seal went on one of these - did not replace when i was doing all the work so should have but reason above is why, just dont look any where near the same

pic on its way

  Belly Pan

Just bought this belly pan off ebay. Wasn't cheap but looks in pretty good condition. Just noticed that the front fitting brackets don't look right. What do you think and does anyone have any of the correct brackets?

  Noob question about power delivery.
Posted by: jamie16v - 09-10-16, 06:30 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (17)

Excuse the dumb question guys if it seems that way, but is my clutch slipping at higher revs or is there some other sort of valve or timing control that kicks in higher up in the rev range?
Ive noticed when giving it some that the revs seem to pick up quite suddenly higher up in the rev range but it doesnt seem to lose any power, gain some if actually.  Maybe its not the clutch im wondering lol

2005 gen 1 FZS fairing - like rocking horse muck?
Posted by: Nellog - 09-10-16, 03:15 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (5)

Hi folks. I'm having real difficulty getting hold of a right side fairing panel insert. Thanks to a doddery cager who decided to keep her indicator going after a roundabout exit then stopping as soon as her wheels were straight, I had a slow off.  I'm in the process of getting the fairing sorted: repair is in hand, but the insert (between the tank and the front fairing) is proving to be elusive. It's getting beyond a joke - I can get a left hander, no probs  :\ .
Does any Foccer know where I can get one please? I've done the usual, but had no joy over the two weeks. I'm on a 2005 Gen1 FZS, that I think is an import (I was given a few pointers such as the reflectors on the forks and three wires coming from the indicators - one not connected).
Thanks in advance, you lovely people.

  Sprocket advice
Posted by: Sam13 - 09-10-16, 08:57 AM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (11)

Hi all.

Have any of you changed front and rear sprockets to +/- number of teeth.

I'm interested to know how acceleration vs top end is affected.

I'm not overly concerned with top end speed as you can't really make good use of it on the road (legally) but would make use of better acceleration.

Does it make that much difference ? Any figures to back up?
Best combinations ?

Thanks in advance
