==============================================================================v
HI

brought this of Luke / Devilsyam about this time last year as my lad wanted to start coming out on the back of the bike so needed something 2-up capable (and my KTM 950 SuperEnduro wasn't it!), but now looking for something even more 2-up tourable. An FJR1300 is current flavor of the month, so this needs to go.

It's one of Luke's / Devilsyam builds

  • 53 plate, 39,500 (ish) miles,
  • MOT until September 2017 (no advisories on the last one),
  • V5 in my name, at my address, nothing to hide, feel free to do any HPI type check you want to.
  • Powder coated frame and wheels,
  • The paint is in really nice condition and kind of sparkles a bit in sun light,
  • Tony Archer custom seat (REALLY comfortable),
  • MIVV Exhaust
  • R6 rear shock,
  • Rental handle bars,
  • Braided brake lines,
  • laser cut metal radiator protector,
  • Rear hugger,
  • Tinted double bubble screen,
  • The side panels, radiator side covers and hugger have been carbon dipped,
  • Pazzo style adjustable levers (not Pazzo but gives good idea what they are like)
  • LEDs in the indicator and Neutral tell-tale lights
  • Belly pan and front mudguard extender in same paint
  • AIS removed
  • DNA Security marked
  • Currently it's got the stock mirrors on but have a set of bar end ones with mirror hole blanking plates if you'd prefer. The bar end ones actually give a better view, but won't give enough room for my autocom switch.  Happy to put on what ever you prefer.
  • I put the gearing back to stock when I got it, as the front was lifting too much two-up, so got a very low use +3 rear sprocket to go with it.
  • 90-degree tyre valves make life so much easier!
  • Unfortunately no service history. Did an oil/filter change at 36k so will need another in ~500 miles
  • I can leave the Givi arms on, but top box and plate will be taken off as I'll need the for my new bike. Could be sold subject to separate negotiation.
Pictures show my GPS mount and Autocom which will be taken off for my new bike.

I'm in Fleet, Hampshire.

£2,500. If I put it on ebay classifieds I'll put it up for £2,600 and allow them to knock me down to £2,500. I don't mess around, and believe this is a fair price.

Test rides are OK with full cash amount in my hand.

cheers

Markie

  Tyres?
Posted by: DangerNoodle - 22-01-17, 10:20 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (62)

I'm planning on buying new rubber pretty soon and I was wondering what everyone here tends to go for? I'm currently considering Dunlop Roadsmart 3's since they seem to have very good reviews. Also does anyone use a non stock profile for their tyres?

  Stuck footpeg pivot pin
Posted by: Grahamm - 22-01-17, 05:15 PM - Forum: General - Replies (9)

A few days ago, the right footpeg on my FZ6 sheared off. I've got a replacement, but I'm unable to remove the old pin.  Sad

I've used a Dremel to cut off the head of the old securing split pin, but, despite the application of lots of WD 40 and 3-in-1 penetrating oil and tapping it with a rubber headed mallet, the old pivot pin just doesn't want to shift.

I don't have access to a blow-torch etc and I don't think a cigarette lighter is up to the job to heat it and help it move.

Anyone got any useful suggestions for how to shift it?

  STP Complete Fuel System Cleaner

I use this stuff once a year, and have found it to be one of the only liquids that actually does a good job.
Plus it makes a change to get a good deal out of Halfords for once.

Just been pointed out that it's 50% off in store.

  Fitting some hand guards
Posted by: sc0ttie - 22-01-17, 12:57 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (30)

I got a set of these
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-Universal-7-...SwZQRYfcHA

They bolt on to the end of the handlebar weights no problem but I am having problems with how to attach to the handle bar at the other end. The metal attachment strip provided is too short to reach the mirror mount on my handlebars/brake/clutch lever assembly.
[smg id=2902 type=full align=center caption="lever with mirror mount"]
But even if it did, I don't know what size bolt fits the mirror mount! any suggestions on how else I can attach the hand guard on that side of it as I am stuck on how to proceed.

Is a day trip to the TT possible?
Posted by: HarryHornby - 22-01-17, 09:35 AM - Forum: General - Replies (24)

Hi All,

Just wondering if it's possible to do a day trip to the TT as foot passengers?  I know it would be a mega long day, getting to Liverpool, ferry, racing, ferry, home but can it be done?

If on foot, where would you get to watch the racing from that's walkable from the ferry>

Has anyone done it?

Desperate to go one year but can't stay overnight because we have young children who still need to go to school, I reckon we could farm them out for a day though  Smile
