Those bloody infill and side panels: Possible fix - b1k3rdude - 12-02-17 So as usual bot the infill and the side panels have started tor fucking crack again (so fucking board of this fucking merry-go-round), nothing on ebay or partfinder so found this cheap and dirty fix that I am looking to do from the inside - ! No longer available Has anyone tried something like this, if so how did it last..? Re: Those bloody infill and side panels: Possible fix - Chris - 12-02-17 Where are they cracking at? Maybe just go easier on them when tightening them if it's cracking around the bolt holes, or you can use a little rubber washer on either side to protect the plastic from the bolt. Chris Re: Those bloody infill and side panels: Possible fix - dickturpin - 12-02-17 Did some yesterday on a plastic spatula in the kitchen! Never tried the copper pins in it though. It's never going to be the neatest finish but ok for hidden repairs on the bike. As stated above....Try rubber pad beneath the fairing infill panel to reduce future cracking. Re: Those bloody infill and side panels: Possible fix - Tefer - 12-02-17 Hi, https://sugru.com/ Could this maybe help? I used it to stick my helmet camera mount to my helmet. Re: Those bloody infill and side panels: Possible fix - NorthWestern - 12-02-17 I did my infils like that. No metal pins though, I think that I just over thinking it. Both mine were in about 6 separate pieces when I got the bike (cat c write off). Soldered them up, sanded the top sides where needed. I did use a bit of bumper filler, then just blew some pound shop Matt black over parts. Look like new, been on for the late 50k miles no problem |
