Apologies if this topic has already been covered but I'm buying s pair of oxford heated grips for my yet to be picked up 2003 600. I don't know which type to get. The touring type are 120mm long and the sorts type are 124mm long. I know I can trim them down if I need to but I would rather not. I would be very grateful if some kind soul could tell me what the standard grip length is. I'm not due to pick mine up 'til the 10th and it's 70 miles away so it's more convenient to ask on here than nip up there with a tape measure and I would like to have them here ready to fit when I get eventually get it. Thanks.

I struggle to find time to ride and then also if I did have time its a pain to get out anywhere useful.
How do you all find the time to ride and where do you go?

Hi All,
I'm James and live in south Warwickshire. After a couple of years of being bikeless I bought myself a 1998 FZS600 in January, having fancied one for a while. A bike finally came up locally and I snapped it up. It's not been used much - it's only got just over 4000 miles on the clock and I am hoping to add many many more.
I've found myself starting to google lots for various information and nearly always ended up at this forum, so I thought I better register!
Cheers!

Busy day today. Had a guy travel 2 hours to buy my cb500 (was in the middle of restoring one, wanted a donor bike), sorted transferring my insurance, then trekked over to the other side of Sheffield to collect my new fazer. Couldn't have picked a worse day to do it, bike was in walkley, which, as you'll know if you know Sheffield, is very, very hilly, and today they'd got all the roads closed and dug up for resurfacing, so the ones that weren't shut were covered in gravel. But I got it home in one piece despite all that, and have had a chance for a proper poke around it. The headlight mod has already been done, and I've swapped the h4 for an osram night breaker I had spare from my cb500. At one point it had an alarm fitted, as the sounder unit is still under the seat. Tomorrow it gets its first real test, a 16 mike blast over the peak District road to Hathersage and back for work.
