finally the sun is out and a little checking/ maintainance took place but on checking the TPS it was showing 10k....then 8 then 9 then 7 then 9 etc then the engine fan cut in ( engine NOT running ) it was all over the place , so I adjusted to 5k then started up , seemed better so checked that was still ok but now it's showing 4800rpm so I adjusted again to exactly 5k but once I'd tightened it all up the needle was fluttering 5-6 k ??? Then I loosened and tightened and it stayed at 5 It starts bettter the engine is quieter ( clutch not as rattly) but my worry is does the fluttering needle indicate the TPS is faulty or on its way or is this normal and why would the engine fan cut in when the engine not running.

Hi foccers!
I'm trying to track down the new owner of my old 2004 FZ6 Fazer as I have a number of OE parts to pass on - the bike was fitted with aftermarket parts at time of trade in, and the oe parts are just taking up room in my garage.
The bike was an early 2004 Stone Blue FZ6 AE53 OVZ and was bought around August, last year (2016) possibly in Cambs or neighbouring counties (the Ducati dealer deals with a broker for non-Ducati part-exes)
If you own this bike - get in touch and I'd be glad to pass on the bits.
Cheers

Anyone have a skaggy seat they want rid of? I want a "resculpted" seat (ultra thin foam and hump on pillion section) and also want to keep my stock seat.

Ok guys so I've been lurking the forum a number ofor years and have rear some claiming their bikes have 80od thousand miles on with no gearbox issues.
So I'm wondering is there a way to prevent the gearbox going again ? My other bikes dont have the issue of missing 2nd gear. Which made me wonder about the factory pro shift star, I don't think they make one for the fzs but would replacing the spring wit has a new oe help?
Any info would be much appreciated

Hi all new to the forum
Had the fazer for a while now though it's been sitting unused as the gearbox gave up about 9 months ago so yesterday I started pulling it apart.
Anyway I'm sure there is a bunch of stuff I could learn from you guys, might also do a video of the tear down
Cheers
