Hi there. I'm a 50 yr old (yes, an old fart) That has always been into riding classic Italian scooters, but had never gotten round to taking my test. I made it my aim to do so before hitting my bullseye and realised how much more fun I was missing out on, not having a bike, so went out and treated myself to a nice cheap 2002 600.
2 months into owning it, I can't get enough of it and will find the tiniest excuse to saddle up and go for a blatt. The weather is getting better and I'm looking forward to many miles of fun around Kent and further.
All my old scooter pals are saying I've sold out :rollin

So I fitted my new L.E.D tail light this morning and found out when I got to work that my indicators aren't working?
I tested them by just plugging the light in first and they were fine.
I can disconnect the new light and they still don't work.
If I turn the bike off then back on the right hand side will flash and work fine but as soon as I try to put on the left or the hazards then they both stop working.
I haven't touched the wiring at all as the new light is just a plug and play kit thar goes into the existing light socket.
I did strip all the back end of and undid the undertray and tail tidy so I'm thinking ive have dislodged something or possibly caused a wire to break?
Any ideas of anything to try before I strip her apart again tomoz?

Hi folks,
Recovering after hitting a tree and breaking my collar bone. Bike ok but needs the fairing/cowling sticking back together and then painting. Spoke to Yamaha and they don't sell the paint, silver tech 3 or S3 they said it was. Anyone know if there is a car paint that is a close match to that. Over here in France getting car paint is hard enough let alone bike paint. (I know rs paints do an exact match but that's £50 and the bike is 13 years old so the rest of the paint will be faded compared to the new paint.....)
Here's hoping, thanks
Tommo

Called at Chorley Yamaha yesterday for there open day what a shame about the weather. Got to admit I went in the car as it pissed it down all day. A lot of lads on there bikes though you just can not plan for the English weather some times its shit. Full marks to the lads and lasses at Chorley Yam though for doing there best.

For the past few days shes been drip, drip, dripping oil in a bad way.
From what I can tell, its coming from the oil sump gasket, it appears to be leaking from/around the front-most left side allen bolt that holds the sump in place (looking from the rear of the bike). I assumed because its nearly 13 years old and just done 35k on the original gasket thats not bad going and its due replacing. So I spent this afternoon fixing it. Changed the gasket for a new one, cleaned everything up nicely, put it all back together and did a full oil change...
And its still bloody leaking :wall
So its not the gasket... its a not sump loose everything is torqued correctly, I cant find any obvious damage or reason for why its still leaking?! What am I missing? I cant see any possible place it could be leaking from, its all tightly sealed up.
