Morning all, i'm about to replace my chain & sprockets and thinking about getting a silent set with cushioned sprockets. Has anybody fitted them to their machines and did it make a significant difference, thanks in advance for any info. Happy riding all  :thumbup

Spring Meet 26th-29th May - PLEASE don't let this meet go the way of the rest!!

Hey folks, sadly Moffy is struggling to get people to book in for the Spring Meet, which means it's dangerously close to disappearing from the calendar.
It's a SUPERB weekend, a brilliant chance to put names to faces from here, talk bikes, ballocks or bile, whichever flicks your switch.Drink booze, listen to live music, ride with mates, see the scenery, make friends for life.

Seriously, it's one of the few things I miss about the UK being down here in Kiwiland.

I don't want to sound all misty eyed auld twat, but we had a superb calendar of meets a few years back; Dare (Aberdare), The Frolic (Forest of Dean), Spring Meet (Settle), The Gathering (Glencoe) to name only the ones I made it along to.
Meeting folks in person makes the online interactions way better, some of my closest friends have been made through shenanigans and recognising my kind of idiot in person.

Please, have a look, have a think and GO.You only really regret what you don't do, so get to it whilst the chance is still there!

  Clutch Basket removal help needed
Posted by: Graham53 - 11-03-17, 06:30 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (3)

upon replacing clutch springs today I was torqueing the spring bolts up and one of them bloody sheared  :'(
So my only option now is to replace the inner basket , which luckily I have in my shed  Smile .
However I don't have a removal/ locking tool does anyone have any way of safely removing the inner basket without the tool.
Apart from this aggro what's really frustrating is , I took it off sorn and taxed it , insured it and fitted new T30 Bridgestones to it , got oil and filter to do after and now I can't bloody ride it  :'( :'(
Please help.

Down the pub - the thread about nothing and everything
Posted by: nick crisp - 11-03-17, 04:06 PM - Forum: General - Replies (803)

One thing I don't much like about internet forums is how every thread has to have a subject, and people can get annoyed if you stray from that topic (sometimes understandably, if you're after specific technical advice for example). So I wondered how a thread about nothing in particular might work, where you can digress in whatever direction you choose, like a real conversation face to face might do over a pint or three of an evening.

Your round mate  Wink
