For Sale, Garmin Zumo 550 GPS
Posted by: Tmation - 11-08-17, 08:19 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (3)

I am selling my Garmin Zumo 550 motorcycle GPS, it comes loaded with Europe City Navigator 2016.

Also included is a ram mount for fixing to handle bar, motorcycle mount/holder (lockable) with wiring loom and carry case.

I would like £80 including the postage.

I have upgraded to a tomTom Rider 450 as my riding mates use it and it comes with world mapping for our travels, so easier to share routes etc. (I personally thing Garmin are better)

Can send more photos if required.

Kev

  Battery
Posted by: BrianPalfrey - 11-08-17, 06:46 PM - Forum: General - Replies (9)

Finally getting my old girl on the road after couple months. Battery flat as a pancake and I'm hoping it is only the battery.

So is it worth picking up a "Yuasa YT12B-BS Powersport Motorcycle Battery" from halfords or is there another to look out for.

I have a 2000 fzs 600

Thanks

  front mudguard woes
Posted by: celticdog - 11-08-17, 12:56 AM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (7)

Well mines just about sh*gged (the mudguard that is).  Sad  Rather than play Russian roulette with ebay on the chance of an overpriced half decent replacement are there any good after market options out there?
The inserts that screw onto the fork stanchions are usually the first to go due to fatigue followed by the obligatory fender extender self tapping screws that also fcuk up your fender. Anyway can anyone recommend a decent alternative? What about the mudguards from other bikes? Surely there are a few about that can be modified to fit a fazer. Go on show me your front end.

  Ivanising 2017
Posted by: Fazer John - 10-08-17, 07:59 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (12)

I don't normally post on the forum but felt my visit to see Ivanising Mike today was worthy of mention. I knew from research that Ivanising was money well spent and I was not wrong! I guess it's all been said before but even in my relatively inexperienced hands the difference is amazing! On/off throttle is now super smooth, roll on in any gear or speed is linear, constant throttle is spot on and lean surge a thing of the past! Top end rush is a bonus but the overall improvement in usability at low/mid range revs now makes this bike a joy to ride!.. I don't need to ride loads of miles to know this mod is a winner! Massive thanks to Mike and Mrs Mike who makes a mean cuppa!! Next job....suspension :b

New FZS 1000 owner from Bulgaria
Posted by: sandi - 10-08-17, 01:00 PM - Forum: Introduction - Replies (8)

Hello guys and gals,

I'm Alex and I have just bought a FZS 1000 Fazer. I believe it's '03 model (I don't think there is a difference in the first gen during production years). It has some modifications done by the previous owner, who was handy guy and made most of the things by himself. The most obvious is that it's converted into an ''N'' model, but not quite Smile. It has a round 7 inch headlight and Givi wind fairing, the turn indicators are relocated due to the absence of the plastics and are all LEDs. The speedometer is a digital one, from R1, calibrated to work with the FZS properly. The headlight has H4 LED bulb (which is very good) and has two additional LED lights mounted on top of the two far ends of the radiator. The brake lines are replaced with braided and off course the exhaust is replaced with, in the case, a carbon fiber Leo Vince, which is really nice as it's not at all loud in low to mid RPM and is loud enough in high RPM (this is with the DB killer). I'm sure there are more mods, that I cannot recall at the moment, will add them later. At the moment the only thing missing for me is the phone holder as I use it a lot.

Regards, Alex.
