  Ducati 899 Panigale Question
Posted by: YamFazFan - 19-09-17, 09:31 AM - Forum: General - Replies (4)

Someone might know the answer to this.

I'm looking at a 2014 model of the above online with a pillion seat cowl and no pillion foot rests/hangers.

Would that have been a factory option when the bike was ordered new, or would the foot pegs/hangers have been removed at a later date?.

Ta. YFF.

  Another noise thread. Clutch basket?
Posted by: Kamikaze - 18-09-17, 04:01 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (6)

torn between adding to another thread and not wanting to hijack,
I'm having some strange noises coming from the bike.
It's only present in 6th gear and only on accelerating.
If I let off the throttle it stops. If I clutch it it stops even while twisting the throttle.
Drop down a gear it goes away right away.

It's not having any effect on performance. Bike pulls hard. But the chattering is fairly loud.
Sounds like I'd imagine the bike would sound if the clutch pack was hitting off the arms of the clutch basket.
I know the xjr has a common issue with te pin on the back of the basket causin it to rattle but I don't think it's the same on the fazer.

Any ideas? Could it be the clutch basket?

  Pushing your bike.

Quick question.

Do you need to wear or at least have a helmet with you when pushing your bike on the road?

Engine / bike lighting - To "enhance".
Posted by: F4celess - 18-09-17, 11:00 AM - Forum: General - Replies (6)

Anyone done this to their Streetfighter [cough].... Fazer? Smile

The actual wiring isn't difficult. Just routing the wiring, so its safe from heat plus mostly hidden, would be key.
I know its a marmite thing, and those who maintain their Fazer to factory fresh spec, would be cursing all the way though this Post, but we are all different! LOL.  :lol

Would want something noticeable but subtle, not looking to light her up like a Christmas Tree. Or is this look now soooooo.... 80's !  :eek

  Track days
Posted by: fazersharp - 17-09-17, 08:49 PM - Forum: General - Replies (17)

Am I a tight git or are they a little expensive, I would love to do one but they cost so much. I am not interested in the "valuable Learn how to handle a bike properly with an instructor" - I just want to rag it round a track with a soothe surface without worrying about cameras or any other stuff to expect on a normal road. Which sounds like the Nuremburgring but It might rain between here and there and I will have to go home.

  Front indicators for the back.
Posted by: vinnyb - 17-09-17, 08:25 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (19)

I've been looking for short rear indicators to replace the originals because my throwovers sit on them and bend them down. Looking on Ebay, it seems like the front indicators fit on the rear too and are obviously that bit shorter. So has anyone on the forum done this? I don't want to go with mini LEDs and thought these would keep the standard look if they fit properly. Thanks
