Evening foccers , ive been offered a motorbike frame as a project , just the bare frame nothing else not even a log book , current owner has never had one as was going to build a sprint bike.....so my question is , am I going to be able to apply for a logbook just by using the frame number ?

It could be the end of the Veggie Bacon and other crap we see in the UK if we follow the French on this.

Where will it end though?

No more veggie sausages or "steaks". No more veggie burgers either.
I guess the nut cutlet will have to go too as it could be confused with a lamb cutlet :pokefun

EU to UK headlight reflector swap, any advice appreciated.
Posted by: stuboy - 20-04-18, 02:26 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (28)

Hello,

so got a 2002 french import Fazer 1000 thats been Ivanized last year and a keeper (thanks mike). I can't get a new GB headlight assembly 5LV-84310-10 for love nor money. Got a spare supposedly uk headlight unit that came off a Fazer 600 off of ebay with a battered casing, 3 lugs missing, scratched lenses. Also no 5LV part number that i can see on either.

My original french headlight casing and lenses are in good nick, got all the lugs intact. The reflectors inside the battered headlight which I am hoping is a UK one have got P1191 stamped on them with a code M60+GF10. The French reflectors have got 5868 and same code M60+GF10.

I want to crack them open and rebuild the French headlightlight with the P1191 reflectors to get a UK compliant headlight.

Can anyone tell me if these P1191 reflectors are for a UK headlight ? also do I have to bake the headlight to crack the lenses off ?  I have got the headlight unit off the bike no drama and am ready to go here.

Any advice welcome,

Stuart

Are there any mods that i should think about with my bike?
It's a stock 2001 FZS600 68k. Been serviced and well cared for.

What has everyone else done to their bike to make it preform, sound, handle and look better?

  Idle Settind and Carburator
Posted by: Antonio - 19-04-18, 11:03 PM - Forum: Introduction - No Replies

Hello everyone
I have an issue with my bike and I hope someone can help.
I have played around the idle setting (touching the big screw next to the carbs) and for the last few days I haven’t felt my Fazer to be the same. I think I have managed to find the right balance and the engine is running fine at the moment I’m running on 1100 1400 RPM but I still have some doubts. First few days I have been loosing petrol, then stopped when I found a better balance. Now the cooling fan is coming on more often, it’s true that everything started when the temperature went up, but since I have bought the bike it has never done it. I am trying to avoid to bring it a bike repair shop (they already asked me crazy money to clean the carbs). is there anyway I can try and fixer it myself. Any would be very appreciated.
FYI my bike is a Fazer 600 Year 2001. If you need more info let me know.
Thank you
