Idle adjuster not working after carb balance
Posted by: Stevo1 - 24-04-18, 08:28 AM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (3)

Hope someone on here can help me with this one. Balancing my carbs last night I ran into a problem. 1 & 2 were pretty well balanced, 3 & 4 were out slighty so I balanced those up. When I checked both sides together it was off. However, when I adjusted the middle screw to level up both sides the revs dropped (up or down - cant recall). I went on to adjust the idle adjuster to compensate and nothing happened. It is neither raising or lowering the revs. I can guarantee the adjuster was working the day before. Is it possible that the middle adjuster has affected the operation of the idle screw adjustment as in it has it pulled it away from adjustment paddle? The idle adjuster is not seized as I can see it turning under the carbs. Gonna give it another shot this evening after work. Advice greatly appreciated

  Satan’s 666 FZ1 shock adaptor

I’ve bought a used adaptor and 07 R1 shock off of FZ10 USA forum. Arrived last week, fitted up in about 10 minutes . Took it for a test ride today, it’s taller at the rear, about 3/4” more better ride quality. I’m riding at Donington tomorrow, shame it probably gonna be damp.

  Scuffed someone's bumper...
Posted by: Grahamm - 21-04-18, 12:42 PM - Forum: General - Replies (7)

Yesterday, whilst rolling my bike back, I managed to misjudge my position and put a scuff on someone's bumper Sad

Fortunately (-ish) it was someone I knew and since it was only a slight scratch, I offered to buy them a repair kit to deal with it.

There are lots of options out there, although some are for reparing breaks, which I don't need, so can anyone recommend something cheap and easy?

  Replacement cooling pipes
Posted by: Freza - 20-04-18, 11:32 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (26)

http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php/topic,24057.0.html

So, my cooling pipes are gone Sad
My mechanic tried to save them by welding them, but it didn't help.
They have been eaten out from the inside. He says it's because they're made of iron.

I tried finding them online, but no luck so far.
I'd appreciate it if you have any ideas where I could find them.

Thanks!

Wanted: In urgent need of cooling pipes
Posted by: Freza - 20-04-18, 10:49 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (18)

Hi all,

I need 3 cooling pipes that got rusty over time and started leaking.
These pipes are no longer being produced or sold as new.

I named these pipes myself because even their names are no longer displayed, so pardon my liberty:

1. T-pipe, part no. 5DM124820000 / 5DM-12482-00-00, visible here as number 15: https://www.motorcyclespareparts.eu/en/y...water-pump

2. Small pipe, part no. 5DM125880000 / 5DM-12588-00-00, visible here as number 4: https://www.motorcyclespareparts.eu/en/y...iator-hose

3. Long pipe, part no. 5DM124850100 / 5DM-12485-01-00, visible here as number 9: https://www.motorcyclespareparts.eu/en/y...iator-hose

For visual reference, I took pictures as well:

My bike is 2003, but I think these pipes could work from 98+ models as well...

If you have these pipes, please contact me, but only if they're in good condition !

Thanks
