  Wanted - Fzs1000
Posted by: duxsy - 24-05-18, 05:27 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (2)

Hello fellow foccers,

I'm after an FZS1000 (gen I). I've been riding the FZS600 for the past 7 years and I'm ready for an upgrade.

Some thoughts:
- I've been reading through the discussions and seems like Ivanisation is the bees' knees. So if it had been done that would be a big plus.
- mileage reasonable (>50k)
- luggage desirable, although I'd prefer to keep side panniers smaller so I can filter if need be
- colour irrelevant
- location preferably not too far (>100 miles) from West Midlands
- taller screen would also be great, and I'd love an aftermarket can too Big Grin

That's it, can't blame wishful thinking! For now, I'm keeping my eyes peeled.

Second race meet this year, last week at Cadwell,, practice day went onto grass, dropped it,,screwing fairing and fibreglass, scrutineered for Saturday and Sunday races ok..
Sunday I got two 3rds in my class, well chuffed, got some silverware.Fazer gen 2 went well, can't be many with trophies.

  Battery Issues?
Posted by: Kang - 23-05-18, 01:57 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - No Replies

HI,

FZ1 Gen 2 08 has a wee issue were all the lights (head, rear and neutral gear light) are dimming high/low ever so slightly on start-up. However after a short spin they are working fine no dimming.

Any Ideas?

Not yet technically challenging question really - but my tiny brain can cope with this one.
Anyone recommend a decent tank bag? Was thinking rear top box but I don’t want to spoil ‘The Admirals ‘ good looks  Wink

  Headlight switch - Yamaha FZS1000 Fazer Gen1 2002
Posted by: pretendertothecrown - 23-05-18, 10:18 AM - Forum: General - Replies (1)

Hi Everyone,

Just looking for some advice.

My bike failed the MOT as I have a loose headlight flick switch from right hand handlebar switch and I can't see to locate a replacement. Anyone got any tips how to fix it?

I need it checked on Saturday and passed as public transport is killing my patience and wallet at the moment - a solution to ease my sanity would be much appreciated.  :'(

Hi, Sorry if this is in the wrong spot but having got rid of my fazer 600 I have the Haynes manual and a set of the cheap vac gauges available to the person who gets in touch and can pick up from the near Blackpool area.
Must go to a good cause that's why on here.
Hope this is within the rules
