Where to find employment legal advice?
Posted by: Bretty - 03-11-18, 02:33 PM - Forum: General - Replies (17)

Hi guys,

I'm not really asking for legal advice (unless you're qualified or have experienced this.)

Buy how can I go about getting some (cost effective) legal advice around employment law, specifically around being made redundant? Where do you go? Citizens advice? ACAS? Or can anyone recommend any specialists?

Specifically I need to be prepared for some HR interveiws and may have a case for unfair dismissal, and also want to challenge that they are withholding some bonus payments.

Posted by: ogri48 - 02-11-18, 09:14 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (3)

ive bid eighty quid on a clean (9000 miles) bank of carbs. I figure if I get them for that its worth servicing and Ivanising them and keeping me stock set as spares. eighty quid don't seem a lot when it cost £120 for four jets and needles and a coupla drill bits.. lol..(I know, I know...im paying mr ivan for the development..) :lol

  gerbing heated gloves
Posted by: butthead - 31-10-18, 08:32 PM - Forum: General - Replies (10)

anyone used these? , im thinking about getting some this winter, the short cuff version and running from the bike battery as apposed to internal glove battery.
anyone got any experience of them ? how they perform and do you find them bulky and difficult to still feel controls and switch gear with.

does anyone else use any other brand of heated gloves? how do you rate them and would you recommend them ?

  Hello All.

A bit late with the intro seeing as I joined the forum about 5 months ago. Anyway I fancied a foxeye FZS600 years ago, but got diverted onto other bikes and then when I was considering a change I came across a one owner 2003 model with only 13000 miles on it. It looked almost new and was a very good price so here I am.I am really chuffed with it. It handles, accelerates and brakes so well and is so smooth and comfy. Perhaps because I am an old git I don't go for all the latest electronic gizmos, I like to think that I am skillful enough to control the bike myself so another plus point for me.Oh yeah, I like to do my own maintenance and the fazer seems fairly easy to work on.

  Gen 2 Ignition Lock
Posted by: otley - 31-10-18, 10:20 AM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (1)

Hi. I parked my 2009 Gen 2 bike in town recently and wonder if someone tried to steal it. I now notice that if I insert just the point of the ignition key into the lock, I can rotate the dust cover part freely and independently of the lock barrel. If I rotate the dust cover so that the key is aligned with the slot in the lock barrel, I can push the key fully into the lock and it works as normal.

My question - are all the locks like this where the dust cover freely rotates or has mine been forced in some way?

Thanks

For Sale : Kappa top box, Givi monokey and FZS 1000 mounting kit £85 * SOLD *
Posted by: FazerGrandad - 31-10-18, 12:09 AM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (1)

Just removed from the FZS 1000 I just bought.
Good condition a few minor marks from use.
One key, but it looks a standard blank you could get cut from most places.
Picture of it on the bike and of each part.
Live in the Midlands (CV9) for collection.

Just bought a Silver 2004 FZS 1000 having just sold my Red/White 1998 R1.

Before this other sports bikes like GSXR-1000, TL1000R and a KR1S track bike.
Now I am approaching 60 so thought better slow down a little.... only a little  Smile
Thus the name called myself for this club.
