Weird rattle/scratching and high pitch noise from engine

Hi Guys
Tonight I was riding my bike home from work when all of a sudden as soon as I started to get up to about 30/35mph this high pitch squeaking noise started coming from the engine, below 35mph all I can is a rattle or scratching like sound but I have no idea what any of this could mean.
I managed to record the noise on my helmet camera and so feel free to have a listen to the video I've attached (Would recommend headphones).
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mvky0tIkO4A
I managed to get the bike back home and so will now not ride it until I know what this problem is. My bike is a 2001 Yamaha FZS600 with 43k on the clock.
Really hope you can help me understand what on earth is going on with my bike, thanks in advance.

While taking the wheel out to get my new tyre fitted, I noticed that the ceramic speedo sensor was broken. I know the little ears normally break off, but they were fine, a piece of the cylinder part had come away.
I got a new one on order but fitted the broken one as I needed the bike to the commute to work. I thought it would either work or not, what I got was a working speedo that read low. 6k revs in top is a smidge over 70mph usually, today it was reading 50mph at 6k.
New one should arrive today so will get fitted over Christmas, just thought I would share.

Hi all,
I am after some advice. Engine is out as I am working on the cafe racer conversion, would i am after would anyone suggest is there any works I could be doing to the engine whilst it’s out of the frame to ensure longevity and good health of the unit? She has 45,000 on the clock but only came into my hands late summer so I am unsure on its service history or check history ie valve clearance etc. Any advice or info would be greatly appreciated cheers

Road noise back

Ever since I've had the Fazer there has been noise from the front end, more noticeable at lower speeds when riding with the visor up.
At first I changed wheel bearings, checked the speedo hub, greased everything in sight and checked for loose fairing etc, nothing made any difference. I changed the screen and tried taping things up in order to find the source, but after a while I gave up, and ignored it. I've now done 40 odd thousand miles on the bike. I fitted a new tyre yesterday and it came back, I hadn't realised that it had gone away until the first ride this morning.
For the last 10000 miles I've had a Michelin Macadam 100 that I got second hand with a wheel I got from the bay, these have a ribbed centre tread, and while they pick up road imperfections, had dampened the road noise. The 023 has no centre ribs, and this seems to be the source of the noise.

LED Spotlight confusion

Hi Guys,
Bit of a mystery one, I recently fitted a pair of LED spotlights to my Fazer (make a big difference, so thanks to all the others who posted about them).
Buuuuut, they come on randomly when they're turned off; sometimes one (it changes which one) just lights up very dimly, sometimes it's an intermittent flashing (at various speeds). If i flick the switch on and off, it stops but then comes back a while later.
I don't understand how this is happening, I know that LEDs draw so little power that it's unlikely to be issue, especially as I ride the bike every day so it doesn't have a chance to discharge the whole battery.
I've wired direct to battery with an inline fuse, and a switch on the handlebar, nothing fancy but it does the job.
Any ideas as to what the issue could be? Has anyone else experienced this?

Due the fucking ULEZ zone kicking in on April 2019, I need to upgrade my 2005 FZS1000 for something that's Euro 3 compliant. So Continuing the tradition of buying and selling my fazer's with fellow foccer's I would like to start looking for a replacement fazer from this community before looking anywhere else.
The FZ1 need to be 2007 or newer, I live in south herts so would prefer a bike that close, but will travel for the right bike. [update] it occurred to me that someone on here might want to swap plus cash for thier FZ1.
My FZS1000 - (details in no particular order) - 2005, 36k, DPBMC blue in VGC for its age, (was originally purcghased from a fellow foccer from up in sheffield)
- Came with full ivans kit, so has more midrang punch than a stock bike and nice top- end power (last time is got dyno'd I believe it was touching 130bhp at the rear wheel.)
- Devilsyam, R6 shock - still as sharp as the day it was fitted.
- K-tech front springs and matching oil - as good as your going to get without changing the internals.
- AIS removed (or if I didnt I have the kit for it that will do with the bike)
- R&G frame, swingarm and fork sliders.
- Original Yam colour matched belleypan
- Colour matched hugger
- adjustable and bendable clutch and brake lever (they bend up in spill, so you have half a chance of being able to ride the bike afterwards)
- LED H4 headlight bulbs
- LED indicator, rear and instrument bulbs.
- Large Carbon Tank protector
- Oxford Heated gribs w/relay to isolate them when the ignition is off.
- Akropovic end can and link pipe.
- Braided hoses on the front only, kept original on rear to take the sharpness out of it.
- Meta M357 TV2 Alarm
- Blind spot mirror on r/h mirror.
- Brand new AGM battery (fitted a 09/03/19)
- Toolkit
- Brand new Avon 3D-XM's with less that 75 miles on (fitted 09/03/19)
- C&S kits only has 1-2k on, looks looks as new.
- Pads front and rear relatively new so have loads of meat left on them.
- Tappets where checked and Plugs, Oil & filter changed at around 30k, air filter at around 20k I think.
- Handlebar risers, give you a more sit up feel and better control and less hand ache.
- BikeIT mini indicators and spacers (inside which i put LED bulbs)
- Front fender extender.
- LED bikeviz spot lights - coming down the motorway with these and the LED headlights - people know I'm coming.
If I remember anything else that was fitted I will update the post.
