Hi guys, recently bought a red & black 2000 fzs600. Very good condition apart from a scratch on the tank. Its too big to polish out and its down to bare metal. Only fix would be touch up paint or a respray. Does anyone know the paint code for the red half of the tank and where i'd be able to get it from.
Thanks.

Hi All,
Have just taken delivery of a 2011 FZ8. Not had chance to take it out yet as it was chucking it down with rain when they dropped it off and I have been working the last couple of days.
Hopefully, if we get a break in the clouds tomorrow I'll give it a bit of a thrashing!
Any advice about aftermarket pipes would be appreciated.

I don't know whether anyone else has looked at Bike mag this month, but they have done an feature on bikes that 'do it all'.
Anyway the FZS600 comes in at number 11 from 20, but I thought the interesting part was that they said the prices are soon to start rising.
So now I can say my bike is an 'investment', or it's 'my pension' and then try to look like I know what I'm talking about :lol

Hi there
Great site with some really helpful friendly advice etc.
I am one of the early 600 riders having owned my original black 600 since 1999. We have ridden 14,000 faultless (the bike not me!) miles together and not had a single problem. Original down pipes, painted every few years with mat black engine paint, full service and a lot of love have kept this standard bike (fender extender, rad grill and crash bars apart) perfect . 2 initial years of commuting were followed by many tours to the IOM, South of France, West of France, Andora, the Pyrenees and some of Spain. Many mates had litre + sports bikes and have swapped and changed over the past 11 years whilst me an my Fazer carried on happy. If you have a good woman at home, theres no pont in lookin elsewhere 8) On the F600, being able to power out of fast bends right on the power, reminds me of my RD 350LC back in the 80's and the Fazer is not dissimilar. The bigger more powerful bikes that I have toured with have to be much more respectful and gradually apply all that additional bhp. Best all round bike made in the late 90's IMO and a tribute to what can be achieved with what was at the time existing donated parts from the thundercat and not forgetting the awesome R1 brakes. (ok the headlights are crap).
ps If you have not done the Pyrenees, then do make the effort as you will not regret such a fantastic experience.

This week, I don't know what it is, but I have come across men in white vans (all different men with different vans) who find it perfectly acceptable sitting at the wheel, smoking massive spliffs.
This reminded me of my mothers Iranian boyfriend, who loved driving about whilst drinking glasses of wine.
Dickheads obviously.
What is the most ridiculous thing you've seen whilst out riding.
