Thought i was getting weaker with age. I was having difficulty getting my gen 1 on the centre stand, after about a month of struggling i realised that the R1 forks were the problem, with the front end sitting 20mm lower than stock it makes it much harder to pull the bike back on to the stand. Problem solved by rolling the front wheel on to a 20mm thick piece of wood prior to attempting the act. Luckily i always use the sidestand when out of the garage.
On a different subject, and i realise this will be heresy to some foccers, i have been looking at the frame and thinking it looks a bit archaic. Got to wondering what alloy beam frame i could fit, guess an R1 would fit everything else on the bike. As one of my friends pointed out "why don't you just buy an R1 take the fairing off and put some high bars on" it's got me thinking.

Hi everyone, just saying hello, put a deposit down on a very very tidy 03 FZS600 S in blue, did my DAS on one and had no problems riding around all day so thought it a good idea to have one as a first big bike. Pick it up in the new year, can't wait. Anyway Merry Christmas and ride safe. Tony

Mmmmmm from me to me! :rollin Bought a PCV, Autotune and quick shifter for my FZ1 and install. What a difference! Bike is very smooth, great acceleration, throttle control and and and. Quick shifter is really fun to use and definately does the "trick" when pulling off from a stand still! Should have done this years ago!
