Looking at buying a helmet camera but not sure what to go for. I am tempted by the Conour Roam HD, does anyone have any experience of this or any other camera?

Never again will I use a dealer again!
Went to Jordans bikes for some new spark plugs , (ngk cr9e), for my gen1 1000 and they charged me £33.96 for 4.I am going to fit them tomorrow so I bought them even though I could get them off ebay for £10 less. I know dealers have overheads that ebay sellers don`t have but unless they start to compete more on price there won`t be any dealers in business in a few years.

  Mysterious misfire
Posted by: taksi - 17-12-11, 12:57 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (5)

I ride a '58 plate FZ1 Fazer and have had it for around 18 months during which it has beeen faultless. Last Tuesday, however, I went into town and found it had developed a weird misfire. When moving from a standing start or when filtering on a closed throttle, then opening up there was a severe miss as the engine virtually stopped then picked up, then stopped  and picked up again before flying off up the road. Disconcerting! If the revs are anything over closed throttle (ie 1800rpm) there is no problem. Had the fairings and tank off to see if a connector was making/breaking, especially the throttle position sensor, vac pipe adrift etc but couldn't see anything so opened them up sprayed with WD and reconnected all the ones I could see (except ECU) and went for a ride. Got to the end of the street, still the same. BTW plugs changed about 2k ago. Any ideas gratefully received before it goes to Mr Yamaha and my wallet takes a beating. No fault codes on the dash either. Baffled!

Ta very much in anticipation.

Ok Stupid computer question number 8930541....
Posted by: oldmotherfoccer - 16-12-11, 09:50 PM - Forum: General - Replies (8)

father xmas is delivering a tablet pc which apparently has a

Memory

  • 2GB SD Built In
  • Micro SD card Expandable upto 32GB
  • 256MB RAM
does this mean i need to buy a 30GB sd card to use the exsisting 2 giving me 32, as they only seem to come in 2,8,16 and 32 or can i buy a 32 and it will only use 30 of it and the 2 thats already lurking in it somewhere (expect more silly questions on xmas day when the box is open)

oh and another thing, should father xmas plug it in and charge it, before xmas day so its ready to go, or is the fun of waiting for it to bleep and tell you its ready to use all part of the fun of the day ??

Hi Guys,

I am considering buying an electric chainsaw from Amazon .. including shipping to Spain (I need the instructions and stuff in English!)  The make and model is :-

RYOBI RC-S 1835 240v 1800w

We have a small wood burner stove and I need to cut logs not trees.

Does anyone have experience of using this type of tool?  Does anyone have any advice or suggestions on the use of such tools (I am aware of the need for 100% safety).  Does anyone have any suggestions of an alternative make and model?

Wanted 2002 FZS600 nose fairing and brackets
Posted by: Glen M - 16-12-11, 02:38 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - No Replies

I've now got more or less everything I need to start fixing up the bike apart from the nose fairing, inner black surround and bracket to hold same.  Would prefer to put plastics back on the bike rather than a fiberglass fairing but don't to pay whats no doubt silly money for new ones.  On the off chance anyones done a street fighter mod and has the bits (maybe even the headlight aswell).  Its the 'fox eye' model in blue but any colour would do.
