Split inlet rubbers |

On my 98 FZS600 the inlet rubbers are showing hairline splits. It's not effecting the performance at all (no indication of running weak) so I think they do not go all the way through....yet!
New ones on Ebay are £75 a set :eek A friend suggested trying vulcanising rubber solution, the type you get in a push-bike puncture repair kit. Which I am tempted to try, only thing that worries me is the heat that close to the engine. What do you lot think?

got a letter from swinton who my fazer is insured with
i pay (cause i is poor) monthly so dear sir your bike recovery is due for renewal
as of 1 feb £6.99 per month YOU NEED DO NOTHING as we will take payment from you acc
(acc number quoted)
ok first off dont have recovery as i had to keep cost rite down so didnt take this up
or legal
anyway have recovery free with the rf insurance
so i ring them
this is just a std letter i'm told
so seems now that if you give them your bank detail you give pemission to tag on any policy a take from your bank accordingly
so seems they work on if you dont tell them then you want it
needless to say soon put that rite and got them to remove all date from there mailing too
so beware folks

Can anyone recommend some good (useful) free apps to download?
Does anyone know of a good free DVD ripper?
Does anyone know of a reliable place to download MP4 movies for free?

not a yamaha but a 1994 honda vfr750 for sale |

as i need some funds to put my fazer on the road and i cannot ride it due to wrist problems i am selling my honda vfr750,the bike is not immaculate but it is a solid bike and rides spot on for a standard bike,i have done very little mileage in the time that i have owned it which is just over 2 years,i would love to keep it but my wrists wont get better soon so it has to go,
mileage approx 47k (i fitted a replacement speedo because someone put 5 watt bulbs in the speedo)
mot july2012
no tax, bike is on sorn,i can no problem as the bike is still insured
rear tyre replace not done many miles, front is legal but will need changing soon
only one advisory on mot, bike went straight through, the advisory was a slightly perished front tyre valve,it is not that bad and will last till the tyre needs changing no problems
downpipes as far as i can tell is a replacement pattern part,i think they are stainless steel but they are solid
i have the original grab rails and seat cowl
the chain adjuster is not seized, which is common on this model of bike (infact all vfr single sided swing arms)
the 2 main weaknesses of the vfr750 have been fixed, that is the regulator and the circuit board in the speedo, the regulator has been changed for a yamaha r1/r6 unit and the broken pcb repaired with a soldered wire
i dont have any service history and it will probably need a oil and filter change,i will supply a new filter with the bike, the bike has done less than 1000 miles since the oil was last changed, since i have owned the bike i have changed the instrument assm due to the clock being damaged,i also replaced the seat as someone had modified it and replace the seat cowl
here is a couple of pics of the bike, they are not recent pics but the bike has not changed much

![[Image: DSC_0143.jpg]](http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj38/solorider_uk/DSC_0143.jpg)
here is the mileage of the original speedo before i changed it
![[Image: DSC_0015-1.jpg]](http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj38/solorider_uk/DSC_0015-1.jpg)
im after £1100 and at that price i will change the front tyre and put 6 months tax on the bike, for an extra £25 i will chuck in a link pipe for an aftermarket can

The annual Springfields Bike Show returns for another year and the organisers have a fantastic show lined up.
The Bike Show is the first motorcycle exhibition of the year and thousands of visitors join us each year to enjoy the incredible show bikes, buy new equipment for the season, meet the clubs and check out the celebrity guests. Last years show featured TT star Guy Martin and the glamorous Maria Costello.
This years guests will be Gary Johnson & Mick Grant. Also returning to the show is the World Famous ‘Ken Fox - Wall of Death’ performing over both show days - this will be their first show of the year.
Don’t miss this fantastic show, a great local event and a favourite for classic, custom and new bikes and a fantastic reflection of motorcycling in the region.
Admission is just £8 Adults, £6 Senior Citizens and under 13’s free.
aaah in the link, it mentions spalding, but in the post it does not, so edited - SPALDING IN LINCONSHIRE, right next to the Springfields shopping centre, so drop teh Mrs off to look at the outlook centre, and see who spends the most
Parking is free and gates open 10am.
