I've had a gen 1 Fazer 1000 for a few years - decided it's time I joined. Just been through the Exup problem. Fitted a new-ish one from a Gen 1 R1 - so back on the road now. The original was so seized in the mounting plate no amount of heating and battering would move it.
I was horrified at the cots of a replacement - about £450 from Fowlers.

What brake pads give best braking power with normal riding not on the track?
And what else should I do other than change the fluid and clean and grease the pistons?
Anyone found wavey disks other than the Chinese ones on eBay?
Thanks

I have an electric wall heater in my kitchen (always cold as N. facing and has an extractor vent in the wall)
I noticed this morning that it was cycling on and off though on the lowest "Frost" setting. :eek
I know its cold but I don't think it was lower that about 8ºC in the kitchen.
Question is, do I have a dodgy thermostat or is it designed to kick in BEFORE reaching 0ºC ?

I've heard Givi boxes are a handy piece of kit for touring on a bike. Ideally I'd like a big box but am still completely lost! I'm unsure what things I'll need to attach the box or what sort of box I should be looking for. Complete noob apparently. Any help and advice is much appreciated!
