  Fazer Clocks Replacement
Posted by: JonathonBeedie - 09-02-12, 11:15 AM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (3)

Hi,
New to this forum, looking for a bit of advice - my speedo isn't working and it turns out after getting it tested at dealer that there is a problem at the clock end, so I have bought some used clocks (not shedding out on £500 for new ones!!!) and was wondering how easy it would be to replace?

I've not done too much work on a Fazer before, but assume, its norm just a case of flick the kill switch, disconnect the battery, take off/loosen front fairing, un plug clocks and take them off, as I notice there is 3 mount points....

Just after advice/hints as to how easy this would be, and if anybody has any reccomendations??

Cheers!!!

For Sale: 2002 fzs600, 20k miles, FSH, blue, 33bhp kit
Posted by: Fergwad - 09-02-12, 12:31 AM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (12)

Hey all, I've had to make the difficult decision to sell my 2002 blue fazer it's standard other than 33bhp kit, heated grips, huger, fender extender and datatool alarm. Is in great condition, tax and mot till june and 20k on the clock. It's got seven stamps in the service book prior to me buying, I bought it at 16k and and have done 2 oil/filter changes and had the valves done on it about 500 miles ago. Selling as want to upgrade my car to a sensible diesel (booo hiss!!) I'd like about £2400 for it as it's a very well looked after and tidy example. Give me a shout if your interested and I'll email pictures and chat through any questions you have. Cheers, Fergus

  New Location Map

Take a look along the top menu, click Member Map, admire, click the link at the bottom "Click here to add or edit your pin location on the map", add yourself BUT DON'T PUT YOUR EXACT LOCATION OR SOMEONE WILL STEAL YOUR BIKE, go back to the Member Map, admire again.

The map will show foccers who have logged in within the previous 6 months to keep it relevant Smile

  Mirrors with built in indicators
Posted by: Gray fox - 08-02-12, 09:33 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (5)

Has anyone tried fitting mirrors with built in indicators to a Gen 1? I have seen these on a few modern bikes & think they look good. This of course would leave some nasty looking holes in the fairing, which is one more problem to overcome. I'm running out of mods to do now & need another project. So if anyone knows of any mirrors that fit i would be grateful for the info.

  Sump Plug Thread Size
Posted by: cybercarl - 08-02-12, 09:24 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (6)

Love the new site, so much faster and smoother.

OK quick question. I have stupidly overtightened the sump plug and stripped the thread, ye ye I know.

I am thinking of purchasing a sump plug repair kit rather than bodging it. The type of kit I am thinking of is one of those Bergen kits with the oversize tap and half dozen oversize plugs http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sump-Plug-Repa...35b8e2120f

Could someone confirm to me what size kit I need? I have been led to believe it's the M15 1.5. Is this correct? My bike is a 2000 FZS600. Has anyone had any experience using these kits before?

Thanks in advance folks

Any opinions? I've just bought a pair from Passion Automotive (under £7 a pair) so will report back when fitted.
