  My MPG
Posted by: Fazer Jake - 22-05-12, 12:40 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (7)

i usually averaged 45-50 and i now know why  :rolleyes  previously i was filling the tank right to the brim. As it was on the stand/sloshing around fuel was leaking through the overflow pipes onto the airfilter.

Since filling up correctly i'm getting 55mpg

  just give page

hay

i know this is cheeky and i hope admin don't mind mind but... i wanted to put a link up to my "just Give" page.

Me and 4 others (probably 3 others actually) are doing the Shropshire 6 summit challenge in June to raise money for Caner Research. We chose this charity due to quite a few of my other half's family suffering from various types of cancer, plus one of the lads doing the walk has a 14 yr old who has been diagnosed. (the world can be a cruel place)

In a nut shell we've got 10 map coordinates which will lead to 10 check points, we have a time limit of 14 hrs to complete the 36.9 mile walk which covers the 6 summits of Shropshire.

Thank you

I have a 2012 FZ1 and it has a standard screen, I find the wind blast too much. Could anyone sugest a replacement? MRA screens look ugly :eek. I am only 5' 11" tall.

Pictures and links would be good. Thanks.  Big Grin

  Helmet hair!!
Posted by: Robbie8666 - 22-05-12, 09:26 AM - Forum: General - Replies (23)

Leading on from the thread asking about new lids, i have a question that may seem a bit vain but please humour me....

I have relatively short hair (normally #2 ) when i take my lid off at work I notice with my Shoei I have definate helmet hair. not that I'm too bothered about my appearance but does make it look like I have a Mr T haircut.

any advice how I can reduce this?
like I say not bothered when out on a ride out & looking round a town or when I am at home just at work & trying to be professional..

oh & if the answer is to grow it longer thats not an option because of the proffesion I'm in.

  stainless downpipes
Posted by: Enceladus - 21-05-12, 09:42 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (18)

the stock downpipes on my bike are in good nick (thankfully Big Grin), but at some point in the near future (when i've saved a few pennies) i plan to replace them with stainless.
my main question is, are they easy to fit ?
i can do most diy jobs, but never really tinkered with anything mechanical (but always wanted to)
also, do they vary from company to company ?
if so, any ones to avoid ?
thanks Big Grin
