We do print work/support in whatever way we can for a guy called Talan and as I've gotten a minute or two waiting for my laser to output some artwork seps I thought I'd let all you Fazer folk about what he's doing......
Talan's been organising 2 wheeled "track" experience for disabled riders, started at Castle Combe tho's doing some on airfields and the like, is a fab' idea brought about by his wanting to continue riding in spite of being confined to a chair, working out how to and doing it and competing in racing for which he's just got his ACU licence and is racing Minitwins (I think!) in ThundersportGB series, Was at The Ace Cafe recently too with race bike.
Rather than me mithering on for pages go see his www which is thebikeexperience.co.uk which'll give you the rundown on what's what, he's on Facebook too so give him a like.

With the introduction of the FZ8 & Fazer8 is it Yamahas intention to discontinue the 600 & 1Litre models in the foreseeable future?
I know sportsbike sales have taken a dive so are they trying for a VFR 800 type of market. Dont think theyve got it right yet though-theres something awful cheap about the suspension on an otherwise nicely finished bike. Pricing is still too high IMO
Seems like they discovered a winner with the early incarnations of Fazer 600 & 1000 in terms of go anywhere/do anything but when it came to model update time they thought they were trying for the sports market which they had already got sewn up with the R6 & R1. Am I missing something here? What would be a fair list price for the 8 series(Its only a start point for haggling isnt it?) :eek

:eek I am sure there are a few boys in blue here. perhaps some advice please
Today going around a hairpin bend - known as the devils elbow-with two solid whites the car behind me was straddling the centre lines trying to overtake- didnt expect him at that position so mved over to the left to get out of his way. He overtook the next car going round a blind left.. if any innocent driver had come the other way at that time :eek also on double whites
Followed light traffic for about a mile and saw him at the back of about five vehicles behind a tractor negotiating some blind S bends- he obviosuly got pissed off waiting for the tractor and overtook the lot as he went round another blind bend- again... any innocent coming the other way.......
I was going to pull over and call 112 but didnt know where you get with the non urgent police phone number or whether it works from a mobile.
My idea was maybe as police are about in the sunshine but stay in the station on rainy days there might be one ahead (30 miles stretch of raod with no turnoffs) to maybe pull him over and see if he was drunk, under the influence or just plain stupid
What should you do if you see someone driving dangerously? by the way the other drivers pulled over they all thought he was a lunatic and didnt want to be involved in his next accident?
I have his registration - worth a call now? someone could maybe call by... or is that a waste of police time? no evidence just a rant from me :\

what's best to clean them with? drove (very gingerly) to a dusty car park and did a few laps to get some crap on the tyres and have ridden through some muddy puddles as well.
should i be worried about rubber degradation etc.
