On the Gen 1 does the belly pan have to come off to change the oil filter?

Removed the bellypan on FZS 1000 to do a spot of cleaning around downpipes & front of engine (yes I know-havent I got better things to do!)& noticed cracks around mounting holes for rear frame brackets. The front mounts have rubber insert grommets but the rears have none & vibration has caused radial cracks around bolt holes, Whats the best way to repair these and should there be "grommet type" washers fitted?
Yes I have got places to ride next weekend when Im off to mid-Wales to warm the tyres up! Smile Enjoy your long weekend all & ride safe

Hi everyone, been meaning to join up for a while since bought me old FZS600 a couple of years back.

I'm a programmer from Newcastle, commuting 5 days a week rain or shine.... mainly rain  :lol

I've been having a bit of an issue lately with judder under braking from the from after upgrading to braided lines and EBC rotors but reading a few posts like this one I think I've got myself a culprit. nice work...

Anyhow, hello...

A few pictures of Maidstones Aces Grass Track meeting at Collier Street on 27th June. In the three heats each with six bikes we finished 6th, 5th, and 5th. We thought that wasn't bad for a first outing and shake down run in the new sidecar. Racing was close fought and a tussles were had from third to six places in each of the heats. In the last heat we worked on a better launch and got a flyer, first in to the first bend and last out of it.
At times the dust got so bad vasability through it was zero and at times felt a bit like Tom Cruise in that film Days of Thunder or something.

  Bikesafe castle Combe this Saturday

Too late to book now but there will be plenty of stalls and demonstrations and you can watch my 15 minutes of fame on the track around 2pm- nose pressed up against the wire.

I try and do some training every year and Bikesafe assessed ride seems a good start plus this year our IAM group is finally running a few ride outs- havent had an assessment since I passed in 2009

I will be wearing my FZ6.com T shirt as we dont seem to have a Foccers T shirt..... now there is a thought- I would buy one

FOC-U
Foccers do it on a Yamaha
I am a silly Foccer

The list is endless and only limited by your imagination

How do we go about getting a site T shirt and help the finances of the site a little bit?

And if you dont want to go there... last year there must have been 50 police bikes there from Thames Valley, Devon and Cornwall and Avon and Somerset so the roads should be pretty police bike free around the whole south west  Wink

Enjoy
