  Recent FZS600 purchaser
Posted by: tonyash56 - 14-07-12, 05:36 PM - Forum: Introduction - No Replies

Hi to all,I'm 56 yrs old ,married 23yrs with 3 children, I work at a tyre distribution warehouse as a driver/warehousman ,I have just replaced my ageing FJ1200 with a 1999 Fazer 600,I did a bit of reseach and this seemed the best choice,I only got it home last sunday, and it seems to have rained ever since :\ However this morning I managed to get out in the dry for the first time , what fun ! great little bike, easy to ride fast, and suprizingly quick, being old skool myself I always thought you needed big numbers on the side to have that much fun!! I think I'm going to enjoy this Smile I'll try to upload some pics. later, might need the help of one of my children for that :lol ..........Regards  Tony

Wanted - GEN 2 Standard Seat
Posted by: flesh - 14-07-12, 05:36 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - No Replies

Needing a standard seat for my Gen 2 if anyone has one "spare" to sell me  Wink
Just bought another FZ1 but the clever previous owner has cut the original seat down to fit his short dumpy legs and it does not fit well with my legs (or ar*e for that matter).
Any condition considered!

  Stretched chain and long miles?
Posted by: blue_faz600 - 14-07-12, 12:09 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (20)

I have a question guys, my chain is stretched to buggery and I have ordered new chain, sprockets and the new 12mm nut  but I will not have time to fit the new gear before I head off on a little trip down south west! Will the chain last about 500miles round trip?

The chain has been adjusted to its tightest point @ 35mm however at its loosest point it's more like 50mm! It causes a surging on a closed throttle, so is it likely to snap on my upcoming journey?

Cheers for any advice guys Smile

Anyone seen it?
Whats the score, is it just the torch or is there any carnival type things preceeding it ?

More importantly is there any point in taking the time off work to see it?

  Olympic effort

Anyone here commuting in to central London from the north Kent area? Any ideas how best to cope with Olympic lanes / traffic etc? Just closing the Aldwych underpass added ten minutes on to my journey - Christ knows how bad it'll be with all the roads closed to us?
