  Have I f***ed it?

HELP

So, just left my bike ticking over in the garage for about 15 minutes. When I went back the temperature warning light was on and the gauge said 122 degrees. Turned it off straight away and could hear the coolant boiling. I assume the fan must have failed...

What are the chances I have f***ed it and what is the most likely outcome - head gasket?

I thought I had a fault on my Solenoid as one of the fues was loose .
I now have the new one and its the same .I think  one of the fuses is a spare ?
Is that the case ?
Thanks
John

One of the headlights on my Gen 1 is badly misted. Presumably moisture getting in somewhere.

Has anybody else had this problem and how did they resolve it please?

FZ1 Second Gen 1000 Fazer - lowering the footrest position
Posted by: harley metisse - 05-12-19, 08:58 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (4)

Hi all, I have done a quick search here on this forum, but can't really see any clear info on whether I can successfully lower the footrest position on my 2007 Fz1 ?
I have even thought about the Chinese options offered on ebay.
Anyone got any thoughts, or better still suggest a way forward ?
Cheers

  STAY SAFE

This is more of a request on behalf of my daughter who lives down in Kent. She had a hit and run yesterday morning by a blue van on the A2. Luckly she just a bit bruised and sore, not too sure on bike damage yet but helmet is a right off. I don't know if there are an members down that way or maybe use the A2 to London . It was near Cobham exit about 07.30. Trying to get vans reg number but nothing showing up yet. Or if any members know someone in that area.  Any help appreciated.

Re-fitting rear Fuel Tank bracket - parts order
Posted by: F4celess - 04-12-19, 11:49 AM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (11)

I'm attempting to re-fit the (Rear) fuel tank mounting Bracket, which is in a number of parts.
(I know - I should have paid more attention when pulling this apart). Smile

While screwed back together tightly, this has left the bracket quite loose, which isn't correct.

Below is the order I'm fitting these parts, plus an accompanying scribble. Smile
Please can someone put me right here!?

Top
- Tank bracket on top.
- Thick rubber pad sits on top of frame.
- 2 cylindrical screw spacers positioned into screw holes in above thick rubber pad.
=FRAME=
- Air filter box rubber cover (rear part) sits under frame.
- Thin screw bracket underneath, that the 2 bolts screw into.
Bottom

Thanks!

  Winter bike gear.

What do you use  in this cold weather ?
I have been using a keis premium heated sleeveless jacket run off the bike battery.
Halvarsons Merino wool base layer under the Keis.
If its really cold I use my Rukka down jacket on top of these .
Rukka Nivala Jacket ,and pants(with down liner) .
RTS Gortex boots with  long Merino socks,Dainese Gortex travel Gloves .
Shoei GT Air 2 Helmet .
This outfit has kept me warm and dry over the Alps and 3 British winters.
It did cost a lot but with a 6 year w'tee on the Rukka and Lifetime on Gortex  from leaking I guess its a good investment.
And they say a warm ridder is a safe rider!

Hi all.
I've purchased a fazer 1000 last week and went for the first ride today and am glad to say I'm very happy (mostly). Cracking motor with plenty of grunt and handles nicely. Although I have a question, Are the Ivans jet kits still available and how would I know if its already had one fitted?
Cheers.
