Only me.. Previously mainly rode a GSX1400 heavily modded and raced enduro's on a husky wr250. Now down to the one bike a 2009 fazer 1000 currently standard even though Ive had it for 2 years (not standard for long, improvements needed now the GSX has gone). The GSX1400.org forum was ace and very very friendly and helpfull so Im hoping you guys will be too as the fazer is a keeper. Ive had a quick look around the site as has useual loads of differing opinions, loads of advice and loads of laughs.
So FCE's, akraprovics and customs maps to ask about (metzler m5's already a personal choice) and getting my head around why I need bits in my exhaust that will rot and cause me issues later will be my intial beggings and pleadings; and Ill go do some profile stuff.
Speak to you all soon, virtualy, hopefully meet some of you at some point.
Cheers..... TIGGR2 aka David

Due to me getting the 7g error message I decided to service my exup at the weekend and it looks like ive f*cked it up , when Id fitted it I turned the ignition on,no probs so I went for a ride a few miles down the road the 7g error comes up again , went home stripped it down and refit a couple of times to no avail.
When its all fitted it rotates so far then tightens up and on inspection when I held a straight edge to it its got a slight bevel from the back side bending up. I went to the Yam dealers in Chorley and spoke to a mechanic he told me if its bent its goosed throw it away, then said my best option was to throw it away take the cables of and seal the hole with a bolt, job done. I said as far as I was aware this would have an averse effect on the bikes performance he shrugged and said my options were all expensive.
Rang another dealer just to price a new valve £282+ vat Shit ! Any advice or better still reasonably priced spare valves would be most welcome

Hi, in advance.
I am looking for some advice. I have bought some Oxford hot grips to fit to my 2002 FZS600. Ideally I would like to have them switched so they cannot beleft on when the ignition is off but do not know where best to connect them. Have read Alot that says not to splice into lighting circuits etc., some am looking at using a piggyback fuze connector. Has anypone used one of these, and are they safe? Or do you have any other suggestions for connecting the grips?
Thanks in advance.
