FZS600 Fazer Bits
Posted by: derildo - 23-08-12, 10:28 AM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (6)

I have some items for a ’00 Yamaha FZS600 Fazer to sell. The bike the stuff came off had less than 4k miles on it and was always kept in a garage.
Remus Viper Can with s/s link pipe.      £60  [glow=red,2,300]SOLD[/glow]

wezmoto 3 line s/s braided brake line hose kit, s/s banjos and bolts. Front lines are 30mm longer than standard as I had been trying different height handlebars so would suit a bike fitted with risers or higher/wider bars.  However I had not gotten around to fitting the kit so it is brand new, bought a couple weeks ago.    £35  SOLD

I’d prefer collection from the Waterlooville, Hants area but will provide shipping / postal prices if needed. I have pics but cannot seem to load them on here, I can email them to you.

Regards

  Boot's on the other foot...
Posted by: MadDogMcQ - 23-08-12, 09:12 AM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (10)

My local independent garage (Bolton Motorcycle Workshop) is fitting my IVANS KIT for me and has just emailed me with a photo of one of the Carb Inlet Boots. He reckons it's probably been fitted like this from the factory because nothing else seemed disturbed around the carbs (2007, 12k bike). As you can see from the photo, it's got a kink which might lead to an air leak, so he's gonna fit a new one. Hope it doesn't delay the return of my bike for this Bank Holiday Weekend!

Tom

  Which grips to dampten vibration??????
Posted by: Jimmygixxer - 23-08-12, 02:08 AM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (4)

I'm changing my standard bars to lower alloy ones.
Any recommendations on which grips to get?  My No.1 priority is to get the best ones to help dampen out the dreaded vibrations which are making my throttle hand go numb, but i dont want foam ones.

hi guys, just changed my engine over on my 2001 fazer, everything runs sweet as a nut but the only thing is, is that the oil light will not turn off! theres plenty of oil in there as topped up to the specified amount... could this be an engine management problem or something else? any help on trying to.get this light off would be muchly appreciated

Well I have think I have sorted all the known problems -

I have put a HID in the main beam , changed the sprocket nut ( had to get the garage to do it as I could not budge the original one) and have put the lift kit dog bones on -

just need some sunshine to get out on it now!

  None standard exhaust
Posted by: Stuajohnson79 - 22-08-12, 08:23 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (7)

Chatting to a few guys at work who have noticed that there is a Nexxus exhaust system on board, they've been asking if the air filter has been up graded, fuel map set and other things. Obviously I have no idea what's been done. Do certain things need to be carried out if the system has been replaced? It's a full system from the down pipes back!
