  Rear spring
Posted by: manuel32 - 26-08-12, 07:15 AM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (30)

Has anyone tried the progressive springs on the market ?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hyperpro-Progr...416wt_1186
I guess starting soft and progressively getting harder (ooh Mrs Jones)

I presume all bikes are sold with a rear spring strong enough for two up or the big hairy fat bastard :lol ,, but what about light weights?, do we have to be bounced around? Smile

Posted by: rjd1 - 26-08-12, 12:01 AM - Forum: General - Replies (7)

i use telescopic one
when i cast the concrete base i welded large bar to bottom of anchor drilled existing brace hole bigger and replaced short bar with rebar then tied it all into square mesh and poured 12 inch base in strong concrete with fibre`s
chain will fail long before anchor

  DLNA UPnP Controller and Linux
Posted by: pointer2null - 25-08-12, 09:36 PM - Forum: General - Replies (9)

Any linux experts played around with this?

Basically have mediatomb running as a server, have a WDTV box that is a DLNA renderer. Windoze 7 has a "play to" function that sends the stream to the renderer. Sort of works ok, but I've been trying to find a linux (red hat/fedora) equivalent. There are loads of servers and clients by the bucket load, but no controllers (at least none for fedora that seem to work).

After owning the 600 for a month decided it is too small for me , so going back to FJ1200, it's been fun , but it's just not right for me , going to make a loss on it coz I think I paid top money for it :\ at least FJs are cheap........

  Water water everywhere !
Posted by: leeiom - 25-08-12, 11:10 AM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (12)

Had a stuttering problem and thought it was electrical, so after checking leads, coils and replacing plugs I decided it must be carbs so drained the float bowls and low and behold full of water.  Emptied the tank and as you can see from the attached a 'bit' of water in the fuel tank  :eek  (The fuel is sitting on top)
Bit lost as to how this amount of water could have got in there.  Posible bad fuel at petrol pump but no reports locally of anyone else suffering my fate.  Condensation has been mentioned but seems a lot of water for that.  So I'm left thinking the seal on my tank is buggered, and as my bike is left outside in the rain from time to time it would make sense.  Anyone have any experience with this problem before ?  Is there a drain outlet around the mouth of the filler which could be blocked ?
