my little pony is running in the 1245 at ascot today (21/12/12) and no.1 daughter (the trainer) reckons at 25/1 is worth a punt each way as the last run out he showed a clean pair of hoofs to a class field
sergeant dick
1245 ascot.
please remember the value of your investment can go down as well as up

10 years ago today the first owner of my bike rode out of George Whites Swindon on his shiny new bike. Just a thank you to him & the other two subsequent owners for looking after my pride & joy so well before i brought her home in August 2011. Thank you for all the aftermarket items & the service stamps in the book & for all the meticulous & thorough cleaning.
I remember seeing the new FZS thou in a showroom in 2001 & lusting after one but was shocked at the asking price which was way beyod my means then. 9 years later the price was affordable & the bike positively beckoned me into the shop! Like most I regret a few things in life but this was one of the best decisions Ive ever made.
Thanks for all the helpful advice & (mostly) friendly banter on the forum. Have a very Happy Christmas & hopefully a really good 2013! :lol The days will start to get lighter after today.

Well its like this 0 got a 2003 Fazer FZS 600 one of the very last to be registered before they rolled over to the new injected model (not so good IMHO).
Its done about 6k miles (all dry except one FOCCER weekend) and is mint in fact the wife said I spend more time polishing it than riding it.
Had a serious back issue a few years ago and really nearly lost mobility and other lower functions - I'm OK now but frightened me having had a taste of nearly ending up paraplegic - it just happened due to back wear and tear.
I've lost confidence on the bike and really only done trips for MoT and the odd bimble in the last few years hoping to get my confidence back but its not happened. i just think even a small offf ...well you get the picture.
So sadly thinking of selling.
I can honestly say this bike is a stunning example, not a mark on it, bog standard except for a gear indicator specifically designed for Fazer.
I would like it go where it gets TCL and pleasure riding it would be shame for it to be a work horse if you see what I mean.
QUESTION: Do I try and sell it now out of "season" and not the best time, or, wait till next year - into buying season but another year older.
Thoughts....
