  Replacing end can
Posted by: Jamieg285 - 18-12-12, 02:20 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (2)

I'm looking for a reasonably priced replacement for my exhaust silencer.  I've been looking at ebay and found lots, but many of them list as specific to a different type of bike.

How critical is this?  Provided the inlet sizes are right, surely anything can be used?  (I already have the link pipe).

  Still Alive

I've been away a long time. Serious illness, job loss and all that goes with it, but I've still got my gen1 waiting in the wings, til times get better.

Even if I end up on the street,  the bike will still be there.  It gives me hope.

I see a lot of new names.  But still a few of the old foul dudes  Big Grin

Merry xmas to all and safe winter biking to the hardcore foccers.

Looking forward to reading about whats been happening in foccerland since I've been away, and making new foccer friends.

  Fuel tap
Posted by: alexanderfitu - 17-12-12, 08:03 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (6)

Hi all

Odd question, but is there a fuel tap on the FZS600? My 01 fazer says in the manual that there is 3.5 liters of fuel left in the tank when its indicating emtpy (odd!) Is there a way to switch to reserve or is there none?

  Braided Brake Lines

Being one of this sites more mechanically inept users I am confused by the 2 or 3 front brake line issue and would appreciate some explanation also to change the rear brake or not ? as it seems not everyone does.

  lowering kit
Posted by: Stedman8 - 17-12-12, 06:24 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (18)

I'm only 5'9" and to be honest trying to push the Fazer while sitting on it  I have to go on tiptoe, which may be good for my lower stomach muscles but is a bit of a pain,so I'm thinking of getting one of them there lowering kits. has anyone of my height or approx done this and which would be the best distance to lower by 25 or 50cm,also the sidestand doesn't make the bike lean to much as is, can it be replaced by a one which gives a bit more confidence especially if the 50cm lowering kit is used finally should I make the rear spring slightly harder so that bottoming out doesn't occur - thats if it would? the physics of lowering the bike escapes me tbh, thanks in advance ,cheers Steve Smile
