Yamaha Motto?
Posted by: JoeRock - 16-02-13, 07:35 PM - Forum: General - Replies (10)

Fancy getting myself a half decent license plate made up for my bike, and wanted the Yamaha motto/tag line on it. Used to have a similar thing on my old ninja saying "Let The Good Times Roll", which was the Kwak motto, but what's the Yamaha equivalent?

Carbon fibre Akrapovic slip on race-can / exhaust for sale
Posted by: bikerboys - 16-02-13, 05:02 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (5)

Hello and welcome to the sale of my very nice, awesome sounding Akrapovic Carbon fibre  race can,

This can is in good used  condition, the only thing that lets it down is the mark where the hanger strap has been  its a deep mark where the strap has been tighten a bit too much

there is the odd slight marks on the can  (see pic). This does not effect the exhaust in any way, a very  nice exhaust.

yes it will fit other bikes  its about 52mm for the pipe i had this on my fzs600  it has the e marks for road use its just a bit too quit for me that the reason i am selling it has i have got a stubby on now

This can sounds awesome which is what would would expect buying a can of this quality. Why put a cheap and nasty can on your pride and joy when you can buy this one
Wink
this is  set at a very sensible price
of £100 or best offer p+p will be about £10.00

  More under seat storage?
Posted by: willmckeand - 16-02-13, 03:31 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (10)

Hey everyone,

While replacing my rear mudguard a few weeks back I realised I could probably gain more under seat storage by cutting out the curved part which comes upwards (the base of the under seat storage compartment) and replacing it with a flat piece of plastic to get extra room.

Since I've got a rear hugger I don't see why I need the mudguard to come up the way it does and it takes up valuable space in the under seat compartment.

Has anyone else thought about this/have any ideas? Any thoughts/input appreciated!

I think I'll have a practise with plastic welding on my old rear mudguard first!

Cheers all

Will

  Braided Brake lines
Posted by: fazerboy01 - 16-02-13, 08:12 AM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (9)

Ok, so my "Y" reg FZS already has HEL braided brake lines, F&R, Stainless, but they have been on there 8/9 or 10 years. I bought them at Ally Pally bike show, and had the clear plastic hose casing fitted, but recently Ive noticed a dip in my brakes performance and the plastic casing is splitting and looking rather shitty. So I'm thinking of changing them again.
Can anyone recomend a brand that they havnt had faults with and have lasted? Where is the best place to buy? I'm after a 2 line kit up front and the rear, and again, S/S lines and fittings.
I have found these on ebay, but has anyone used them and can you recomend them?

Went to see a mate of mine tonight to catch up and play some drums in a new studio he's started teaching in, come out after and my bike is leaning on the back of a Corsa and knocked over on its side  Sad . Police were surprisingly already there and the area is very busy at that time so there were a lot of witnesses who think they may have got the guys number plate. Apparently somebody in a big black jeep parked on double yellows next to my bike ( I was right at the end of the legal parking) then reversed straight into my bike and knocked it over, then got out, looked at it, was confronted by people from across the road, shouted and swore at them then sped off leaving my bike and the car it landed on.

Really, really pissed off and gutted the bike is 13 years old and was in fantastic condition. I'm only 20 and at college with a part time job so not made of money and now run the risk of having to pay my insurance excess and lose my 4 years no claims or just pay for it myself to get it fixed when I've just paid out for chain and sprockets and some other stuff... It's ride able but needs a new mirror which I already upgraded brand new for foxeye ones when I bought the bike, new rear right fairing, front fairing is damaged, stock exhaust muffler slightly scuffed and dented. It's stuff I can live with for now but has really annoyed me... Anyone have any similar stories or advice?
