Well guys, I've had enough of riding around like i'm on ice, and decided I'm going to get rid of the tyres on my FZS1000 at the moment - some maxxis touring compound that seems ok in the dry, but can't handle what I'm trying to throw at it in the wet!
Want to go for something sports tourerish, I've had both the Pilot Road 3s and the Bt23s before and liked both, although I suspect the Michelins may help to speed up the steering a tad on the fazer as they felt like they had a more pointy profile, whereas the bridgestones seemed to roll into corners more.
Local tyre place fitted the michelins last time for £230 all in, which I didn't think was too bad. However, their prices have gone up a fair bit now, and i'm looking at about £285 for the set fitted, although there is a current discount of £30 for fitting from michelin themselves.
The BT23s are almost exactly the same price, £288 all in
Anyone know anywhere in the Leicester/Leicestershire based region that could likely beat those prices?
Other option, is if anyone is remotely near me and has the ability/time to fit and balance a pair of tyres, I could buy the tyres online, stick them on the bike and ride to you, bringing a couple cases of beer, or whatever form of compensation you'd like?

First week in a month that I'm it on the bike and the weather is shit. 100 miles yesterday around the m25 in fig and rain and crap. Then 75 miles around west and north London in even worse weather that.
Worst of all dvla are bloody idiots. Went there to change number plates from one car to another as told it could be done there and then. Got there and they said wait 30 days! Wtf.

As in title really, after something decent aftermarket wise for an FZS 1000, ideally something with a remote preload adjuster, and it has to be at least adjustable for individually rebound and compression, as well as the obvious preload. Ride height would also be a bonus.
