I'm Graham (or Grim to friends/family) and I'm looking into getting a 600 Fazer instead of a second car. Need to get my CBT and Direct Access done then I can start looking. Signed up to the forum as it regularly comes up in results when I search for info on the bike.


I'm 28 & work as a Customer Service Manager for an Ecommerce company. Originally from Doncaster (your can take the lad out of Yorkshire and all that    ) but currently live in Nelson, Lancs with my partner and 2yr old daughter.

I need a project! I think...

Don't get me wrong, I love my FZS. But I rely on it too much day to day to consider serious modding. I'd love to build my own performance bike / mod an existing bike to hell & back, but am on a very tight budget. Can anyone recommend a bike that can be picked up for peanuts in a dammaged condition to give a young enthusiast a good project to get his teeth into? I'd love another FZS600, but they seem pricey for my wallet...

Does anyone have any helpful tips for reinstalling the front camchain guide with the engine in? ('99 fzs600) I managed to remove it without too much trouble, but for the life of me I can't seem to get it back because the forks/yoke are in the way...

I noticed this a while back - there's a small tapped (i think) hole in the middle of my cylinder block on each side of the bike. Looking online, only some Fazers seem to have it (or pic quality's too poor). Any ideas as to why it's there / what it's for?

First proper post but thought I'd gage your thoughts on tailgaters. Tonight I had a confrontation with one, He pulled over, as did I to have words after I let him pass, it did escalate to the point where he had his fist up in the air about to punch me (or at least my helmet) which I invited him to do calmly before calling him a c**t, I was a bit mad with how he was accusing me of being reckless for touching my brakes to try and get him to back off, even though he said through gritted teeth and anger how he wasn't anywhere close to me. How do you deal with them? Usually I just let them go by with my arm in the air but this guy was asking for a talking to.


Maybe I should invest in a GoPro or something.

After a web page I had for the FZS1000, was a yank fella that had done a fair old amount of work to his bike? Had it saved under my favourites and now can't find it for love nor money!

I'm off out on Sunday for a bit of a ride (couple of hours or so), it looks cloudy, 1-3 degrees so maybe not for everyone but I had a lovely ride this evening in the rain so who knows what takes your fancy ?


I'm looking to go from Fosse park McDonalds (maybe to Bradgate park area, loughborough ?) or maybe from Kettering (A14 McDonalds) up to Rutland water way.


My geography blows chunks so I'm afraid I'll either be following someone (if anyone turns up) or it'll be a leisurely roaming (read lost) type affair.
