  Too Many Vibes
Posted by: darrsi - 16-04-13, 07:13 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (23)

There's always been some kind of vibration or another coming from the front fairing area over the years, but since i changed back to my old Quill exhaust which has a deeper rumble to it the noise has been getting progressively worse, especially over the last week or so.
So i just stood outside my home revving the nuts off the bike at different levels of RPM, no doubt pissing off the neighbours, so i could try and recreate the mental buzzing sound that is driving me nuts, and it is coming from the clutch side headlight housing.
If i put pressure on to the wired plug that the bulb pushes into it stops all the noise.
I just tried slightly bending the bulb blades to see if it might stop it, but that didn't work.
The question is, how do i stop it vibrating?
Any ideas?
It really is the most annoying buzzing noise and i really have to get it sorted.

Argh right  back out get some fuel oh wait...... It's seems to be some more precipitation, what a bitch, but it ok no prob just a nice 80-100 kph winds to add in, mmmmh tasty.

Rant over

Posted by: FuZzBoM - 16-04-13, 10:56 AM - Forum: General - No Replies

Hi all, Just received an email from Euro car parts saying they have a 20% sale on all batteries including bike batteries.
All you have to do is reserve online for a click and collect order and apply code 'BATTERY20' on checkout.

No idea what batteries the fazers run so if anyone could offer that info it would be appreciated. (perfect timing for the summer season)  Big Grin

Brought a new bike earlier this year with a new electronic scottoiler fitted

3 months down and the electronic unit has failed  :'(

Bike is going in tomorrow for service and to replace unit

Anyone else had a bad experience with these electronic ones???

Personally I think I prefer the older non electronic sort.
