Had the gen1 for many years now and by far the best alrounder I have ever owned. By miles.

But I have an itch..... I used to swap bikes every few months, almost never made it a full year untll the fazer.

So I brought a clapt out gsx600f played with it a bit, got it through a mot and had fun doing it. But it never floated my boat. So that is being sold and ......

A 1998 ZX6r very poor state of repair so plan is mot or if that looks to costly then track bike. (the original plan for the Gsx600f but it wasn't up to it)

my gen 1 fazer 1000 came with a meta alarm/immobiliser fitted and worked fine until a couple of weeks ago. then one day just decided to do nothing! i meen nothing! doesn't respond to the fob, no flashing led, doesn't self arm, doesn't immobilise the bike, no alarm, it's as if there is no alarm fitted! i am riding the bike as usual but it's niggling me that sooner or later its going to pack up all together and leave me stranded! i've looked at removing it but it appears to be apart of the system and looks a big job. Any ideas? has anyone else had this problem?

Anyone know how to seal off the tyre wall to stop me getting primer on it? is there anything I can use?

to be honest only about 1GB was used on the vid - the remaining 999,999,999 were taken up rendering all the *bling* on Kosmic's bike!

Hi Anyone any suggestions for after market mirrors . The standard fit ones on my FZ6 look as if they would be more at home on a Vespa.

As in title, after a givi rack for my FZS!

I have read that the first Fazers had a mechanical weakness insofar as the front sprocket retaining nut can come loose potentially wrecking the output shaft

yamaha released a deeper nut with more thread as an update but the thread on the output shaft remained unchanged , huge bill to change tha shaft apparently

was this defect put right on the 2002 model with the bigger fuel tank does anybody know please?

Would be most grateful to find out before buying.

Hopefully some more photos of my new FZ6, got almost all the add on's I need only a fender extender to add now. Have to admit I thought it would take me a while to get used to a smaller bike again having come from a Z1000SX but just loving how much easier it is to move this Bumble Bee around on these Spanish roads.
Got the Top Box , Yamaha carrier frame and the luggage on flea bay £130, don't ask the postage costs from uk to Spain, wife will have me nuts.
Other add on's are Puig Crash bobbins, Puig Fly Screen, Centre Stand and tank pad, like to look after the paint on the tank seeing as I am a bit of a fender belly. :rollin :rollin
