Hi Guys n Dolls, got my tank off for rre-spraying and wondered if theres owt to look for whilst its off. All seems fine and i've checked the air filter which is brand new by the looks of it. Whilst I'm on, the lower fork stantions are well pitted and look crap so what has people done to cure it apart from replacing em??

Hi all, I'm going to try fitting the 1000 rear shock to my 600 if I can pick one up at the right price. So really I'm looking for someone who has upgraded their shock and has a std one cluttering the place up. Local ish to Hull would be ideal. Any offers??

Im planing on strapping the camping gear on and heading for devils bridge area on 1st of july for a couple of days if any welsh foccers are around ill buy the tea!.

I noticed today that my 07 FZ1 was idling at 1650rpm. Any ideas as to what could have caused this to happen?

I went to adjust the idle speed today but the whole cable twisted rather than turn inside itself so I guess somethings seized?

Had anyone had any similar experiences?

So, im almost due a new helmet soon, as my current one must be 3-4 years old, and has seen a bit of action. I've got a Nolan N103 at present, which has been great really, if a bit heavy.

Toying with getting a "better" quality helmet this time, perhaps a Schuberth C3. I like flip-ups, as it saves the constant on-off at petrol stations etc. Also I had looked at the Shark Evoline 3, as you can ride that open faced, but its not in my size.

I know the old adage of "get what fits" is important here, and I will of course pop into HG or something before taking the plunge to make sure whatever i settle on fits properly and doesnt have any hot spots, but some recommendations of something that is reasonably quiet, I can get a bluetooth headset into (I dont mind if its an integrated/OEM one like the nolan/schuberth one), and one with a flip down sun visor would be nice too, but not essential!

I am currently running with a Angel ST on the back and a Metzler something or other on the front. It's a good set up and I like the way the bike handles EXCEPT in the wet when the front feels skittish. (This tyre combo came when I bought the bike - haven't mixed tyres before)

My question is my rear has a fair bit of life left in it but front needs changing before a trip to Germany in a little under a month. I was thinking of getting an Angel ST on the front but I kind of want to change to Pilot Roads front and back (2 or 3 not bothered)

Question is - can I have a Pilot Road 2 or 3 on the front with a Angel ST on the back? (And get a PR2/3 when the Angel wears out) Or is it too dodgy mixing tyres like this? The Metz on the front is a sport tyre rather than sport touring.
