Hi everyone
I pick up my 2001 600 Fazer tomorrow (Friday 30th Aug)  its a big jump for me cos I have been riding a YBR 125  for the past 4 years. I had an hour test ride on the Fazer on Tuesday and did not want to take it back lol hope to make many friends in here.

My front brake lever when pulled in has a series of very small vibrations till it becomes very firm not giving much more movement.
1 of 2 things obviously // Brake Master Cylinder or Caliper Seals
Low pressure at low speed it tends to grab a bit not being very progressive in these situations. When moving along a bit faster I don't notice it.

Any clues at to which end the problem is would be appreciated. Gen 1 Thou.

okay my engines ticking over fine but put into gear and theres no torque or drive to the rear wheels its spins slightly but when you pull the clutch in the wheel stops moving am i right to say this is the clutch????

hey guys i found some bearings when i was trying to get the tesioner on does the tesion have two ball bearing in it

Well I'd like to class myself as a born again biker, but don't think 125's (tho one was an RD twin ) and a 400 dream qualify.
I've Just bought a 2003 fazer for my 45th birthday prezzie to myself.  I live in NW Kent and will probably use the bike to commute into London as well as  hopefully meet members local who are willing to let a noob tag along for social rides, lemonades and advise


I just read a post titled silly questions where tyre pressure were mentioned for the more burly 90kg rider.


NINETY KILOGRAMS BURLY!!!  My knees  can only dream :rollin


So  should the tyre pressures increase with weight and is there a point where they become too hard for safe riding?

Just wanted to pay my respects to a fellow Foccer on here....
He was a personal Friend too and we had many a mad rides out...
unfortunately the fortunes of the bike gods took him from us 2 weeks ago while he was touring in France with another friend....
The downside to the life we all lead, Unfortunately the fight between an over taking bike and a lorry pulling out without looking always ends bad for us bikers....

His funeral is Friday here in the UK..... he was a brilliant lad with much respect for the biking world and the power behind his bike..... I know he would have died doing something he loved.....

RIP Louis... I hope you still ride with us.....
