  Spot light mounting position
Posted by: dazza - 26-08-20, 06:14 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (20)

Hello Foccers,  during the recent hot weather I've taken to riding the twisties at night when it's cooler.
I want to fit some spot lamps to the front of the bike to help illuminate the lanes a bit better.
So, anyone fitted them ? Where abouts and how did you wire them ?
I'm thinking to splice them into the high beam as I don't want to think about pressing a separate switch when I'm on the move.
Bike is an FZS1000 also going the same route with the MT10.
Any ideas or advice would be helpful.  Smile

Fazer 400 Genuine Headlamp Picture Request
Posted by: NJD - 25-08-20, 10:05 PM - Forum: Fazer 400 and other models - Replies (15)

Hi,

I've just purchased what was advertised as a Yamaha Fazer 400 headlight unit as I'm aware they can be modified to fit the 600 (which I own) and have better lenses than the 600.

I can't help but feel, however, that what I've actually purchased is a 600 unit that was removed from a 400 (seller probably unaware).

If anyone can compare, or look at listing photo's (that are still live), and let me know

Thanks

  Voulunteering as a Blood biker?
Posted by: b1k3rdude - 25-08-20, 10:35 AM - Forum: General - Replies (25)

So flicking through a few of AnyManCam videos, I cam across one where he did a ride out with his step dad who is a Blood Bike rider.

I immediately thought Ive been stuck at home for last few months,  partly due to Covid-19 and being between work contracts and I could potentially do this to help out but there is one obstacle to overcome. And that is that even though I have been riding for 20yrs I would need an Advanced riding qualification, eg IAM Green Badge, RoSPA Advanced, DVSA Enhanced Rider or Police Class 1, any of which must have been RENEWED within last 3 years.

Does anyone on here do this and if so which of the above course's was the most cost effective?

Replacement rear brake and gear levers.
Posted by: Steve3351 - 24-08-20, 11:23 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (2)

Hi Foccers
can anyone tell me if I can get smarter looking (and lighter) rear brake and gear levers...?
My original ones are pretty scruffy and seem unnescessarily heavy compared with the alloy ones on modern bikes. :thumbup
