  BENNETTS TW4TS
Posted by: dickturpin - 04-12-13, 07:26 PM - Forum: General - Replies (15)

Bennetts have just refused my cashback on the bike policy. No justifiable reason so in my view they are a complete set of tw4ts. At least the internet is here to let others know about their antics. Yes I know that cashback is never guaranteed  but when it is declined for untrue reasons it generates a moan like this....TW4TS

Rant over...have a nice day everyone.

  Fazer 1000 Gen1 Forks
Posted by: NorthWestern - 04-12-13, 04:37 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - No Replies

When Jack Frost arrives in earnest and I am no longer willing to risk riding on ice I will be fitting some R1 forks I got off eBay to my bike.

I will therefore have a set of straight standard forks available.  They look to be in good nick, the adjusters are fine, no scratches, no leaks.  The mudguard will be with them too (Red) which is in good nick save for a small mark.  If people are interested I will put some pics up post removal.

If anyone finds they need some give me a shout with an offer.

  right of access

The other night I had a run in with a disabled driver on private/public car park at a local royal mail sorting office during the day this car park is for public use and at night it's used by the post sorters for quick access to work,  this night the car park was full accept the disabled spot so I parked there so I didn't cause an obstruction as it was clocking out/in time for the workers, I was there to pick my partner up so while she was getting her gear on a iterate so called disabled driver started shouting are ya gonna move or what I said calmly in a minute ,minute later his partner came out saying the same things and have I got a disabled permit to park there which I said I had one, which she replied if next  time your parked there and you havent got ya permit (how the he'll can ya show it on a bike) they'll block me in so I can't move,    I'm not disabled but have they got a right to demand the parking spot when the carpark is full?

  I muffed up!...
Posted by: HJFazer - 04-12-13, 12:03 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (15)

Hey,

So I recently got Muffs fitted, was hesitant but the thought of paying £200 for gloves that still wouldn't keep my hands as warm just seemed daft.

I got the Tucano Urbano muffs and generally am happy with them. Only ridden twice since I got them so still trying to get used to them... However I have a couple of questions I'm hoping someone can help me with. (I should point out they were fitted by the dealers who were pretty helpful but I can't get back there for a bit)

1) The throttle is stiffer now. I'm sure this is just to do with the gasket used to attach them, but has anyone else had a similar problem and what did you do to solve it? I'm thinking i'll have to have a proper fiddle with it but time is limited due to work and daylight so I figured someone might have advice

2) How do people use the Full Beam switch? I can get to the indicators ok, but the Hazard lights and Full beam switch seem very very difficult to get to with out taking my hand out. The muffs I've got have a cover for the Thumb which I'm actually thinking about cutting off if I can't get used to it. I know it will reduce their warmth a little, but I think they'll still be ok.

Would be great to get people's thoughts/advice,

Cheers

Smile

P.S I haven't used the term Muff so much since I was 16!  Wink

  MT-09 At Work

We currently have an orange (brown?  :lol) one sitting in the warehouse at work, which we had up at the NEC. Now, how to persuade them that they need to let me take it home for the weekend and give it a sound thrashing?!! Ideas?
Funny watching my colleague try to figure out how to start it (I'd already read about the silly red starter switch).  :lol

Old Mother Foccer / new moderator wanted
Posted by: Farjo - 04-12-13, 01:05 AM - Forum: General - Replies (3)

OMF will be known to foccers from the old site who will remember the work that she put into keeping the boards in order, setting up rides and other social aspects. Unfortunately since our move here she has not had as much time for the club and has decided to step down

I'd like to thank her for all the time and enthusiasm she gave us over the years and wish her well with her business activities :kiss

This means that we are short of a moderator and are asking for a volunteer. Duties include moving threads to the right place, deleting spam, contributing to discussions about the club and basically just chipping in. The boards are not heavily censored and it will be best if you agree with this.

If you are interested please send me or Aegis a PM or email, not by posting below, but do feel free to ask any questions or make any points.
