| New Air Filter |

I need a new air filter for my FZ6-SA (faired ABS).
There's a range of aftermarket ones which are about half the price of the OEM one, so is there any difference and is there any downsides from using a replica filter?
Any comments or recommendations would be welcomed.

Hi Guys 'n' Girls,
My rear wheel is looking a bit worst for wear as the paint looks its seen better days!! I have been watching a few videos on YouTube about polished rims! Some of them just use paint stripper & then metal polish to get a shine, the other way i understand is to use different grades of sand paper, which takes ages to do! I would like the idea of doing it to my bike but i'm not sure if i'm confidant enough to do it as i don't want to balls it up (i'm a little heavy handed & impatient)!!! Have any of you tried the paint stripping way & is it easy? or should i just give my wheel another coat of paint!
Cheers Ray

Since I moved back I don't recall seeing a full day of half decent weather! Its ridiculous! Made even worse by the fact that it taunts and teases you
Woke up about 45 minutes ago, lovely sun, bright skies, no clouds to be seen. Got in the shower about 20 mins ago, all still fine. Get out of shower and now I can't see a single bit of blue sky and its throwing it down with rain... well and truly ruined my biking plans for today
AARARARHGHGHGHGHG!! Fucking weather.
Note: I swear its like this all year round and I had a few nice days in Hertfordshire last week so I know its possible this time of year!!
Rant. Over.
... for now.

Hi everyone. Just a quick post to introduce myself to what looks like a very useful site!
I have only just started out on Fazer ownership but have had bikes since passing my test in 1999. I was offered the chance of a good condition 2000 model from a mate at work and within about 3 days, I had the bike home in the garage...
It's currently off the road, but only as the previous owner has had it sitting for a couple of years and let all the paperwork lapse. It needs a wee tidy up (but not much at all), MoT'd and taxed and we should be good to go with a wee fun winter / commuting bike. Everything seems in good order with the bike, no bodywork issues and the rest of it including the fasteners are all in much better condition than I had expected. It's not the best colour being the gold and black, but it's growing on me already!
I've stuck a new battery in and it's running fine, it needs a wee overhaul of the rear brake and for some reason it's sporting a Euro spec headlight so I'm on the lookout for a UK spec one to get it ready for the MoT. Other than that, I'm looking forward to taking it out for a good run!
Cheers.
Andy

With Xmas upon us I would like to share a personal experience with my family and friends about drinking and driving. As you may know some of us have been known to have brushes with the authorities from time to time on the way home after a "social session" with friends. Well two days ago I was out for an evening with friends,at the bike Club, and had more than several beers followed by a couple of bottles of some rather nice red wine. Although feeling jolly I still had the sense to know that I may be slightly over the limit. That's when I did something that I've never done before - I took a cab. Sure enough on the way home there was a police roadblock but since it was a cab they waved it past and I arrived home safely without incident. This was a real surprise, as I had never driven a cab before! I don't know where I got it and now that it's in my garage I don't know what to do with it. So if you want to borrow it give me a call.
